Chapter 36

I woke up bright and early and I was rewarded with the sight of Chuck jogging without his shirt on sa beach.

Napatameme lang ako habang nakasunod ang mga mata ko sa mala-adonis nyang katawan, teka uso pa ba Adonis? Or James Reid na ganun?

Anyway, paglingon ko sa paligid hindi lang pala ako ang nakapansin dahil lahat ng mga kababaihan at mga kabaklaan sa paligid ay nagsunuran rin ng tingin sa katawan nya. I smirk and smile inside dahil hello? Kahalikan ko yun kagabi. I blush remembering what happened last night. Nag-flip flip ang mga butterflies sa tiyan ko at para akong maduduwal na maeechas na di ko maipaliwanag. Ano ba naman yan, chill lang Andi.

I breathe in deep and walked to the restaurant para makapag-breakfast na.

Pagdating ko nandun na yung mga lasing kagabi, I smile and greet them loudly, "Good morning guys!"

Napapikit si Diane yung isa sa mga taga Purchasing, si Cherrie naman nag-salute lang sa akin gamit ang fork nya – in fairness parang wala syang hangover ha, pano nya kaya ginawa yun? Si Jessie naman yung beki naman na kasama namin naka-shades pero nakalingon sa beach, bigla sya nagsalita, "Busog na yata ako. Ang ganda ng tanawin dito."

Paglingon ko nakita ko si Chuck na tumatakbo pabalik sa side namin ng beach, tapos nagsalita ulit si Jessie, "Sarap dilaan ng abs." Sabay kagat sya sa labi nya.

Aba teka, ako nga hindi ko pa nadidilaan yun e gusto pa akong unahan nitong gagong to. Paglingon ko kay Cherrie tatawa tawa sya sa reaction ko, siguro if looks could kill ang peg ko sa mga moment na yun.

Kalma lang syempre ako at hindi naman ako pwedeng mag-react.

Nagsalita ulit sya, "Siguro daks yan, ang tangkad e."

I rein in my temper and say, "Hoy. Masama yang objectification ng mga lalaki ha."

Isang malaking charot kasi gawain ko rin yan pero paka-ipokrita muna ako dahil hindi ako pwedeng sumigaw ng "Akin yan! Bakla ka!"

Napanganga sya habang nakatingin sa akin, "Girl, di mo ba nakikita ang nakikita ko? Pag ganyan ang itsura mo pag nag-jo-jog gusto mong i-flaunt ang katawan mo. At oo, pag ganyan ang katawan anytime pwede syang mag-jog sa harapan ko."

Huminga ako ng malalim bago sya sagutin ng, "Hindi ba pwedeng naiinitan lang?"

He laughs and fans himself, "E bakit parang ako yung pinagpapawisan?"

They laugh and I roll my eyes. Sila pa lang yan, e paano na pag yung iba naming mga dalagang ka-opisina ang pumansin kay Chuck?

Kailangan ko yatang sabihan tong si Chuck na wag magpakita ng katawan dahil magkakaubusan ng panty pag nagkataon.

About seven in the morning nang magdatingan ang mga buses ng mga officemates namin sa resort. We all greeted them with huge smiles, si Chuck was wearing a shirt na, thank goodness.

Kahit na nakasalubong ko si May, I gave her my best smile kasi good mood ako. She smiled back pero I'm sure plastic lang yun.

We're about to start the Teambuilding and nagdatingan na silang lahat sa venue, Ms. Claire was there at nagpunta na ako sa unahan para i-assist sya sa speech nya.

I made a short video to help her in her presentation which she very much appreciated.

The first few sessions sa loob lang kami ng function room, it was more of individual works and partners lang, syempre bilang assistant ni Ms. Claire I never left her side, so most of the activities kami ang partners. Si Chuck kasama yung group nya ng mga taga-IT and when I glance back at him, it looks like he's having fun.

Nasa three hundred participants kami so the Facilitators have a lot of ground to cover.

"Okay guys, we're finally done with the first session and I'm really grateful for everyone's participation! Give yourselves a round of applause." The facilitator says over the microphone and we all clap. Some people whoop and whistle pa.

The facilitator takes a deep breath and says, "Here comes the good part."

Lahat kami attentively listening kasi alam naming it's going to be the best part of the Teambuilding. Eto na yung basagan ng mukha, sana makapartner ko si May, charot.

"We're going to group you guys into thirty people per group and that's going to be your teams for the next activities." We scream and get worked up over the team assignments. I'm scared and excited kasi para maramdaman ko ang full experience nitong teambuilding I opted out of setting the teams and the members.

"But first, I would like to call your leaders that will also play as your Team Captains..." The facilitator called out the Management, si Ms. Claire ang una then yung mga managers - syempre kasama si Chuck.

When they're all in front na, the Facilitator said, "Okay, so here's your Team Captains." We scream and clap our hands as the managers wave and smile.

"Alright, we're going to have 10 teams of 30 members. And we're going to give your Team Captains the list of the members which they will call out one by one." The other facilitators give each of the Captains a list and different colored bandanas, "The team color will be your team name for the rest of the day. The Team Captains will hand over the bandana to you when you get here on stage to welcome you to their team."

Ay may pa-ganun pa, bongga.

"Okay, let's start the roll call, let's start with your CEO, Ms. Claire Montes." Lumapit sa mic si Ms. Claire and called out her team members handing out pink bandanas. Nasa team nya si May – si May ang nag-assign ng mga teams so malamang sadya yan.

Sunod sunod nang tinawag ang mga members, hindi ko ka-team si Cherrie or si Jem so mejo malungkot ako, pero hindi pa ako natatawag at dalawa na lang ang naiwan sa mga managers – one of them is Chuck. Gulp.

Alam nyo yung kasama sa office na gwapong may asawa? Manager na rin si Sir Jules but he's handling sales, so ma-charisma at ma-PR sya. Halos kapantay nya siguro sa dami ng admirers si Chuck but he's much older pero he's got that grace and likeability unlike Chuck na uber suplado.

Sir Jules comes near the mic and looks at his list, he squints, scans the crowd and gives me a wide smile then he says, "Ms. Olga Andrea Martinez" he crooks his index finger and says, "You're with me."

Nagtilian yung mga girls pero ako? Ew.

Pag committed na talaga ako parang wala na akong paki sa mga gwapo sa paligid dahil imbes na kiligin, muntik na akong masuka.

I hide my cringe and smile back at him. When I get near him he hands me the bandana and I work on putting it on my neck. He calls the other members and I just stand behind him and shut up.

Pagtingin ko sa kaliwa ko, andun si Chuck looking forward pero parang nag-titick yung jaw nya, parang nagpipigil ng galit ganun.

I'm a jealous person, no doubt about that. I think it's a pretty good sign na talagang I'm into the person I'm with. That the thought of them being with someone else physically hurts. Normal ko lang yun, pero iba pala ang feeling pag nasa receiving end ka ng pagka-possessive ng jowa mo. Feeling ko ang ganda ko lang ganun.

Either things will get really interesting or it will get seriously f'ed up.
