1 week later
After everything that has happened these past few weeks I needed a change. A big one, I wanted to put my past behind me and move on. And this is where some rules come into place that I was about to break. Tattoos, piercings, and dying your hair exotic colors isn't allowed. There are exceptions the standard piercings on your ears, or adding highlights to your hair. But I was willing to get in trouble; I already had stars tattooed behind my ear. It was simple but cute, I also go my nose pierced, and right now I was getting my hair dyed. No longer was my hair a mocha brown color it was now dyed blue and purple. I liked how it looked and I didn't really care if I got into trouble.
I got my hair done, my nose pierced, and a tattoo and I was happy at my new appearance. Jacob had messaged me to meet him at the park and I wasn't really looking forward to seeing him. I sat at a bench and when I heard him let out a shock gasp I smirked at his reaction.
"Symphony! If it wasn't for you scent I wouldn't have even realized it was you." He says slowly walking towards me.
"I wanted a change." I reply shrugging. He nods his head then takes a seat besides me letting out a sigh.
"You know Verity misses you, I know you two have been avoiding each other, but I really think the two of you should make up." He says after a few moments of silence.
"She stopped talking to me just because I don't want to be with Jasper. Then they both replaced me with Rosemarie, she should be happy that I'm moving on and looking for someone who's willing to give me the time of day. Verity will always be my best friend, but she abandoned me when I needed her the most. It's going to be a while before I can forgive her." I explain standing up pulling my sweatshirt hood over my head.
"She wants to talk to you. She knows she screwed up big time, but she really does miss you." He explains softly.
"Well if she wants to talk to me she knows where to find me." I explain looking over my shoulder walking away.
I arrived home and I wasn't really looking forward to going in. Anya's car was in the driveway and that meant that mom was with her. I entered the house and like I expected they were here.
"Are we seriously doing this again?" I ask kicking my shoes off letting out a sigh.
"Whoa, cool hair." Trevor says smiling. I smile at him and shrug my shoulders, I can feel Dad staring at me and I already know that he'll most likely scold me later.
"No guy is going to want to be with you Symphony. What guy would want a girl who dyes their hair random colors and deface their bodies with tattoos?" Anya says crossing her arms.
"Says who? If I were a dude and I had to chose from a girl who's all goody-goody and conservative, and a girl who knows the rules but doesn't really care if she breaks them, I'd defiantly chose the second one. I'm not breaking any major rules so it really shouldn't matter. And I don't know what you mean when you say no guy would want to date me I've gotten countless of compliments." I state plopping down on the couch between Trevor and Liam.
"Anya here thinks that we should forgive Mom for leaving us and let her stay here." Michael says narrowing his eyes at Anya who's standing next to Mom. I look at him hoping he was lying but sadly Michael doesn't lie.
"Have you lost your damn mind Anya, you may have forgiven her but we haven't. Since you're mated and have a baby and since she's been gone for 12 years technically this is my home. I decide whether or not she can come back into this home, not you. And I don't want her here, I don't need her here. I can cook, clean, and I don't need any help." I state standing back up crossing my arms.
"You can't disrespect me!" she yells stepping towards me.
"I just did,I can kick your ass." I state stepping forward so we're chest to chest. While my sister was 5'6 I was a mere 5'3, we continue to stand there staring at each other before she finally backs down.
"That's what I thought; now I'd really appreciate it if you leave. NOW!" I say pointing towards the door with my eyes narrowed. She lets out a huff then she and Mom leave the house. As soon as the door closes I hear Dad clear his throat.
"Symphony, care to tell me why you dyed your hair, got a tattoo, and a nose piercing?" he says in a stern voice.
"Oh you know, I needed a change and why not something that's not allowed." I say shrugging.
"You changed your entire appearance; don't you think that's a little extreme?" Jameson asks curiously.
"I wanted a change to put the past behind me and move on. I know this is extreme but I like it." I say shrugging my shoulders.
"As long as you promise not to do anything that'll get you in serious trouble, I don't mind you wanting to make some changes," Dad says letting out a sigh.
"Enough about Symphony's new appearance. What's for dinner?" Liam ask standing up.
"It's Friday so why don't we order pizza." I suggest shrugging.
"Alright that's fine by me." Dad says leaning forward grabbing the remote and turning the TV on. I still don't fully trust them, but right now I'm not in the mood for more drama. So right now I'm going to leave things alone and just relax.
