Chapter 31 part two

I didn't buy anything from the mall, I just really wanted to go home and take a nap before ewe had to get ready for dinner with Adrian's family. When we arrived home Angela ran into the living room and began playing with some of her toys. Adrian and I slipped into the kitchen to get something to drink.

"You said you wanted to go on a trip, where did you have in mind?" I ask curiously.

"Either New Orleans or Chicago." He says smiling. Hmm, I've traveled to New Orleans plenty of times but I've never been there with Adrian or Angela.

"I've been to New Orleans a few times with my grandparents, but I've never been to Chicago. I think we should go there." I say smiling.

"Did you like it there?" he asks taking a seat beside me on the couch as we enter the living room.

"Crawfish boiling, grilled catfish and 6 feet alligators climbing onto the shore. That's how I spent some of my summers with my grandparents." I say smiling.

"Hmm, I've been to Louisiana but I've never been to New Orleans. But I prefer to go to Chicago I've been there quite a few times but I think it'd be fun if the three of us went." He says smiling.

"Well then it's settled we're going to Chicago!!" I say smiling clapping my hands. Angela looks up at us and begins clapping her hands squealing.

"She's so damn cute." Adrian says leaning down lifting her up and placing her on his lap. She looks between us curiously before a large toothless smile appears on her face and she grabs Adrian by his face pulling him down leaving a sloppy kiss on his face.

"Aww...how cute." I say smiling.

After an hour of just sitting around we finally started getting ready for dinner with the family.

In fact by the time I was done getting ready and went to help Angela get ready I was in fact very eager to go and meet the family. The outfit I chose was a dark blue dress with a black strap around the middle, and simple black heals. When I let Angela pick out what she wanted to wear I was shocked to see she picked a dress that matched my dress exactly. So that's what I put her in, I also I added a black floral head band and her favorite black ballet flats that had a small little bow on them.

Walking downstairs Adrian was looking at himself in the hall mirror adjusting his tie. He was wearing a dark blue top with a white silver tie, black slacks, and polished black loafers. He looked extremely good looking; when he turned he looked shocked for a moment and then smiled seeing that Angela and I were matching.

"Well don't you two look gorgeous?" he says walking over to us placing a kiss on Angela's cheek and then pecking me on the lips.

"Are you ready cause I really would like to go and meet your family." I say smiling stepping down from the stairs letting Adrian grab my hand in his.

“Let’s go then.” He says guiding me to the truck.

Pulling up to the house Adrian’s family was staying in I became even more excited. I was finally going to meet his family, Adrian had climbed from the truck and was getting a squealing Angela out and I slowly make my way out, hopping down from the truck. Adrian walks around grabbing my hand as we walk up the driveway.  As we arrived at the door Adrian didn’t even knock before the door swung open and I was pulled into a bone crushing hug by a tiny woman with curly blonde hair.

 She pulls away from me smiling before turning to Adrian at first I thought it was Adrian she was going to hug next but she smoothly took Angela from him and began cooing to her.
