Chapter 14

Darren’s POV

I sat by Symphony’s bed praying that she’d wake up. I knew something was wrong, my wolf wouldn’t calm down. He sensed something was wrong with our mate. How could I let this happen? I promised her that I would protect her. After rushing Symphony to the pack doctor, I got my hands on her brother and threw him into an interrogation room. He wasn’t saying anything and luckily while he was in interrogation some patrol men found the entire family in a van. They were all in interrogation right now, and because of the circumstances I convinced the council to come here. I wanted this stuff settled, I didn’t want to leave Symphony’s side but I just wanted to enjoy my life with my mate and put this all behind us.

I stood outside the interrogation room where Akira is talking with Chris and Symphony’s mother Gwynn.

A-Lets start from the beginning. Why did you leave?

G- Before I met Tyler I met a man named Tenzin Cross. He’s a rouge, at the time the only rule I was breaking was being in a relationship with a male that wasn’t apart of a pack. Tyler got me pregnant and I broke it off with Tenzin. But when Anya was born he came back,

A-What did he want?

G-Tenzin is power hungry. He wanted to take over the pack but I couldn’t let him do that.

A-So what did you do?

G-I found a way to compromise. I set up a meeting with Tenzin, Tyler, Alexander, and Andrew. Tenzin informed Andrew on what he wanted and in return Tenzin wouldn’t attack the pack.

A-There’s more isn’t there?

G-Tyler, Tenzin, and Alexander met up behind Andrew’s back. Adam and Alexander did what Tenzin said and he’d pay them.

A-What does this man have over your family that’d make them attempt to kill their own family?

G-My husband and sons are greedy. Tenzin would send them thousands of dollars every week.

A-You haven’t told me what your husband and Alexander give Tenzin.

G-Alexander is Beta so he has access to important information about other packs. Alexander would make copies and sell them to Tenzin. One document could cost around $600. Alexander would Tenzin 10 documents and a few days later he’d receive a check for 6 grand.

A-What’s your husband’s involvement?

G-He has access to important land papers.

A-He signs over land deeds to Tenzin and Tenzin gave him money.

G-Yes

A-Why did Chris have to go?

G-Chris and Symphony were the only ones who didn’t know anything. Chris saw Anya and I, we were out delivering papers to Tenzin. I don’t know what he saw but Tyler didn’t want to risk it.

A-What about Symphony?

G-Symphony was born curious. Adam didn’t want to risk her finding anything out.

A-Whose idea was it to kill Chris?

G-That was Adam, Jameson wanted to get rid of Symphony.

A-What role did you and Anya play?

G-We delivered the documents
