???'s P.O.V.I slowly open my eyes, and I'm somewhat awake.
"Where am I?" I think to myself.
I try to stand up to get a better grasp of my surroundings, but the second I do I feel an excruciating pain that immediately sends me back down to the cold cement beneath me. I'm obviously not moving any time soon so I start to look around and after a few seconds, I realize where I am.
In a prison cell.
I'm trying to think of how I got here in the first place, but nothing comes to mind. In fact, I can barely remember anything at all. For example my name or my past. All I remember are some items that I assume I interacted with in my past like how to speak and other basic things like food.
"What am I?! Where am I?! How the hell did I get here, why can't I remember anything?!" I think to myself as I start to hyperventilate.
Even though I'm terrified, I still have to figure out what I did to end up here in the first place, my main motivation being thinking about how horrible some of the things in prison are.
Especially the showers.
I frantically look around my prison cell for anything I could use to help me break out but there was nothing except an uncleaned white toilet and a bed.
"So I'm a criminal?!" I say to myself nervously.
I'm starting to panic even more, thinking that I'll have to live in a cell for God knows how long and what might happen to me, until I hear footsteps coming closer to the cell.
I open my eyes, and looking up see a light skinned woman who seems to be taller than me.
The woman also seems to be wearing a navy blue military cloak with long flowing purple hair. I can't tell what most of her body looks like since the cloak covers everything up to her head. She also has shiny turquoise eyes.
Walking closer to my cell, she seems to be examining me.
"So this is who Bersia was talking about I guess."
"Who- who are you?! And who's Bersia?!" I ask in a deranged voice as I crawl to the back of my cell.
"Jeez, what happened to you? Well, other than being in prison of course. ...Anyways I'll explain all that stuff later. You don't want to live in this boring cell for the rest of your life, right?"
"Who says I'm gonna be here for the rest of my life?" I respond, scared of the answer I'm about to receive.
"The place where you are right now is the second most secure part of this prison, everyone who's here is here for good."
"What the hell did I do to get a sentence for life?! Oh God I don't wanna die here!" I yell.
"I don't know and that's besides the point, but I can break you out of here if you agree to my terms."
I'm about to ask her if she knows anything about my past but, if she doesn't even know why I'm here that's probably pointless.
"...Which are?" I gulp, staring at her intently and nervously as I still don't know if I can trust her.
"If I break you out, in return you have to help me by unlocking things called trials which I'll explain more about later."
"Can you tell me why you need me specifically to unlock them?"
I ask to make sure I wasn't just going to be a sacrifice or something and suffer an even worse fate.
She looks at me now annoyed, "Once again I'll explain later we don't have much time, but are you in or not?"
"..."
"......F-Fine. It's not like I have anything to lose at this point." I respond hesitantly, scared of breaking the law. Again apparently.
"Um, by the way, aren't we going to have all the guards after us?" I question shakily.
"Good choice. Don't worry about the guards, I'm stronger than you think. And ugh finally I can take this stupid thing off. Honestly the rules of this place need a reform ASAP."
She says as she walks up to the cell bars, dropping her cloak in the process.
I can now see that she's got the body type of an average woman with some extra curves here and there. Under her cloak she's wearing a simple navy blue uniform shirt and pants.
After this she puts her palms together and says,
"Spirit of Kodan: Compress." Two giant translucent red hands then appear out of thin air on both sides of the cell bars.
To my complete suprise the hands squish all of the bars into one piece, as if they were butter.
"HOLY SH-" I yell as she runs up to me, picks me up and puts me on her back piggyback style.
I'm now blushing and still in shock, due to the fact that I was riding on the back of this pretty woman. I wonder if this is how I was like in the past?
"Pretty cool right?" She smirks, "Now let's go, we have to get out of here as soon as possible. Get ready."
She then starts to run faster than I thought was humanly possible into the cell hallway, but considering what just happened anything goes at this point.
In front of us a solid steel door that seems to be locked is in our way, and this woman doesn't seem to be slowing down.
"Hey unless you wanna do a nice face plant into that door, I suggest you slow down!" I say with fear.
Right as we're about to hit the door, she punches in the air, saying,
"Spirit of Kodan: Strike!"
Another big red translucent hand appears out of thin air once again, but this time there is only one and it punches the door down, launching it onto the floor a few meters away with a loud crashing sound accompanying it.
Instead of looking shocked this time I'm now amazed.
"Wow you're amazing! This place must have had no breakouts with you around!" I say as the exhilaration makes me temporarily forget about my memory loss.
She doesn't respond but seems to have a frown on her face, continuing to run us straight into the next area of the prison cells. The inmates are looking at us while we pass by them, grabbing on to the bars of their cells and shaking them.
We keep on going through each area of the prison which surprisingly aren't being guarded. Therefore I assume this girl is the only one watching the cells.
Although, this "peaceful" time of us going through the prison isn't the best, as it gives me more time to think and panic to the extent that I start shaking on this girl's back.
Thankfully, we finally break through the last door which lead to what I thought would be an empty cafeteria, but my answer as to where all of the guards were is answered as we are met by what seems to be hundreds of them with what look to be high-tech guns.
