Last chapter, King Metallica finished telling Seric the story of "The Five Kings", which supposedly explained the origins of the world and why there are five different territories separated from one another. The origins of Blessings were also explained in which they are apparently just parts of the Five Kings magic that can be bestowed upon a human which was put into five different objects on each different continent. Now, after King Metallica leaves Seric, Popshot finally returns after running away in a panicked state.
Seric's P.O.V.
"Yeah I'm fine, as long as he's done with whatever stupid story he was telling you... By the way, you wanna head up to the deck of the ship? I'm getting kinda claustrophobic down here with all the noise and people." Popshot says as he quickly shakes off his nervous state and points behind him towards the spiral stairs we came down from.
I almost forgot that right now we're actually inside of this massive ship sailing on the middle of the sea.
"Stupid? The story was actually pretty good, you ever heard it before? It's called "The Five Kings". " I ask.
"Hah, yeah no I hAVen't HeArd tHaT one beFore. Anyways so you wanna go or no?" Popshot responds as he mocks me.
"Wow sorry, you don't have to be a jackass about it. Anyways yeah sure." I respond as I grab my drink from the fancy table I've been sitting at all this time and get up, but Popshot only laughs and starts to walk ahead of me with his now torn blue long sleeved shirt and pants. Even his long orange hair is messed up. I guess he was partying hard when I was listening to King Metallica's story.
20 minutes later...
"Man I swear, Adesia needs to at least let us get an elevator or something, these stairs can be a pain sometimes." Popshot complains as we finally reach the heavy wooden door that leads to the outside which appears to be locked at the top of the wooden stairs.
"There we go." He says as he shoves a key inside of the door lock, allowing him to push himself against it and open it.
"Jeez, you complain about the lack of technology but this view sure makes the walk worth it..." I say out loud as we arrive outside, being greeted by a cool breeze hitting my face as well as the starry night sky that's visible around the massive torn sails.
"Yeah, good point I guess." Popshot responds with a laugh as he walks over to the railing surrounding the perimeter of the ship.
I follow him, and I'm greeted by an even cooler sight being the dark wavy ocean that seems to go on forever far below us.
I rest my arms and drink on the rail and proceed to admire the view, until I realize I still have to ask him something. "Oh yeah, by the way is the story of "The Five Kings" actually true? King Metallica told me it for the first time and said it was, but I don't know for sure..." I ask, but now that I think about it Popshot is probably going to think I'm super weird now.
"The jokes done Seric, there's no need to shoot the dead horse with a laser rifle." He responds without a laugh this time as he continues to stare out into the sea.
"No, I'm serious. That was the first time I've ever heard it before." I respond trying to sound as serious as possible after Popshot's ridiculous exaggeration.
He looks at me with a scrunched up face and takes a swig from his drink that he brought up apparently. This won't be good.
"Ok, so first you don't know how YOUR OWN Blessing even works, and now you're telling me you don't know the story of THE FIVE KINGS?! Come on spit it out, I wanna hear every little thing about your past and just what kind of a rock you live under!" Popshot asks as the alcohol definitely seems to have taken affect on him.
