Last chapter, the heated battle with Adesia came to a conclusion with Seric managing to use his Blessing inside of the arena, which allowed him to launch his boat into Adesia's unsuspecting side, causing her to crash out of the arena. Now, Seric is being praised as he sits next to his temporary mentor, Popshot.
Seric's P.O.V.
"Thanks man, I couldn't have done it without you!" I yell through the roaring crowd next to us, as me and Popshot are sitting at the same fancy wooden table as before.
"Ahaha, don't bring me up this is your own victory! You and Karia rocked out there!" Popshot yells as he hands me a red wooden mug full of booze from the vendor behind us.
"Oh crap, speaking of which where is Karia?" I ask Popshot nervously as I'm about to take a drink.
"Oh she's just in the infirmary with Adesia, don't worry our guys are top notch Karia'll be just fine!" Popshot says as he points behind us to a big rectangular wooden building with a red plus painted on it.
"...Nah, my conscience would beat me up if I didn't, I'll see you later!" I respond back to him as I quickly put my drink down and start to run over to the infirmary, after all that was a nasty burn Karia took on her arm.
"Awwww, worried about your girlfriend? Haha see ya!" He shouts with a laugh as he waves me off, which everyone else probably heard as well since I can hear the entire crew laughing behind me.
"Little shit." I think to myself with a blush on my face and a laugh as I finally reach the infirmary which is luckily right next to the arena courtyard we're in right now.
I walk through the two red colored doors to the hospital and take a sigh, after all I don't want to look like an idiot in a place like this.
After asking the nurse where Karia is I then head to her room, taking one last sigh outside of her door and checking myself out in a golden rimmed mirror to make sure the blush and smirk is off of my face.
"Check and check." I think to myself as I quickly try fix my messy hair and slowly walk into her room.
"Wait, she won't be mad at me for letting her get hit, right?!" I think to myself with regret as I close the door, and inside are five men and women wearing light blue masks staring at me, but they soon continue bandaging Karia's wounds as she lays on a pure white hospital bed that looks pretty techy for once.
"...Hey Karia, how are you feeling?" I ask carefully in case she really is mad.
"...Oh, hey. I'm not bad I guess. These guys have some gel that takes away the pain of the burns so I can lay comfortably at least. Although, that flame bitch may have given me a scar on my arm which is pretty annoying." Karia says as she holds up her bandaged arm in a sad tone.
"Oh... I'm sorry I couldn't help out more. You did all of the work and all you get are some terrible burns... But it wasn't for nothing though actually, now we get to have King Metallica! Did you see how awesome he was before!" I respond as happily as I can in order to cheer Karia up, and to get this guilt off of my chest.
"Nah, don't feel bad. After all I'm the one who let Adesia set up the flaming stage, as well as letting you fight her on your own. If I complained about something that I caused in the first place, I would officially become the lowest of the low. Speaking of awesome, you were cool out there yourself Seric. The way you beat Adesia was super stupid, but in a good way. I bet she's fuming right now for not noticing an attack as big as that." Karia responds with a small laugh which makes me happy and sad at the same, as she would normally be much more upbeat about things like this.
