Last chapter, Karia and Seric started their fight against Adesia, but seeing Adesia's intimidating golden claws, Seric is too scared to fight. Now, after exchanging a few hits on each other, Adesia manages to dodge Karia's "Spirit of Kodan: Double Cross", and charges straight at Seric who's far from Karia.
Seric's P.O.V.
"SH-" I say to myself as Adesia is about to slash my chest.
*SLASH*
"AGHHHHH!" I scream in pain as Adesia cuts into me, causing my own blood to splash out of me.Karia's about to step forward, but stops when she burns her leg on the patch fire in front of her.
"What's wrong? Doesn't it make you angry that I'm hurting your little friend?~" Adesia says.
"Tch, yeah right..." Karia says as she grits her teeth.
"Oh, then I suppose you won't mind if I do this?"
Adesia then breathes out, "Combust.".
"DAMN IT, ST-STOP IT!!!" I cry out in tears as she sets her blood that seeped into my wound on fire, burning me on the in and outside at once.
Karia starts shaking, but still doesn't move.
"What's wrong? Don't take back your words now, that would be shameful wouldn't it? Although if you did, I would put out the flame on your friend here." Adesia says in a evil tone.
"Haha, I never took you for one to play dirty." Karia says calmly, cracking her neck and hands.
"Do- do something!" I barely manage to think to myself through the immense pain.
"My, my, a win is a win no matter the manner, isn't it?!" Adesia says with an insane smile.
"Haha, I guess you really get into your fights huh? Well, here I come!~" Karia says, mocking Adesia's tone as she begins to slowly step through unburning parts of the arena towards me.
"Oh, that's quite risky you know, after all my flames are uncontrolled!" Adesia yells as the fire around the arena starts to burn much more intensely.
Even though the flames are now slightly burning Karia, she keeps her composure and continues to walk around them, allowing her to take minimal damage.
"You'd better hurry, I don't know how much more of this Seric can take!~" Adesia says, and it's justified since I've been crying in pain this entire time due to my flaming chest.
"Well, it's not like he's gonna die or anything. Oh, and by the way, Spirit of Kodan: Compress." Karia says as she claps her hands together.
Before I can react, I'm squished into Adesia and my entire body aches like hell.
"Relight my *cough cough* Vitality!" I hear Adesia weakly shout from next to me, and thankfully the flames are removed from my chest.
I flop onto an unburning part of the arena, and start to breathe normally again.
After a little bit I recover enough to be able to talk again, "Thanks a lot, Karia." I say with full honesty, as I would have been fine if she didn't come, but she decided to save me from the pain anyways, hurting herself in the process. Again.
"Don't thank me, I just hate it when people try to make me look powerless." Karia says as she looks at her new wounds over her arms and legs.
"Damn it, how is she supposed to fight now, Adesia just healed again, while Karia is even more damaged than before..." I think to myself as I look up at Karia with guilty eyes.
