Hopian 62 - A New Appreciation for Life

Last chapter, the trio were walking through the dark abandoned outskirts of the Hopian Continent to get closer to the center of the giant landmass. But suddenly, a strange girl in pajamas and with a sniper rifle attached to her arm ambushes them. Karia manages to beat her on her own, with both the girl and Karia now being collapsed.

Seric's P.O.V.

"Ok worst case scenario she shoots me, I'll be fine! I can regenerate, but it'll still hurt like hell..." I think to myself as I'm forced to board my pure white "beached" or "pavemented" ship and walk across the deck and around the living quarters, to where I jump off the nose of the ship onto the other side of the alleyway.

"I still can't believe that thing fit here, it's big compared to us at least..." I think to myself as I look back at "My Best Friend" who's squished between the two cracking white brick walls of the alleyway, and separating me from Karia and King Metallica now and leaving me with this assassin...

I then start to cautiously make my way towards the deadly blonde, and I can see that she's still awake with her crazed attitude seeming to have returned back to her lazy one with her slowly blinking her purple eyes while lying down with her arms spread, back first on the floor.

Her clothes and body in general is covered in dust, her neck and sniper bearing arm have some somewhat nasty exposed flesh due to Karia's shocks, and she's only got on one of her slip on turquoise shoes, with the other one being on the floor next to me.

"Ok, she seems pretty damn injured, but still!"

"Don't move! My Best Fri-" I'm about to call out my Blessing so I can form a knife as I approach her, but remember that if I take down my ship this girl will be able to get to Karia and Metallica, or even shoot at them if she can fix her sniper. Also, there's the point of me having to actually pick up the ship to do that too.

"Ow ow ow ow ow ow ow fuck fuuuuuuuuuuuck, this hurts this is the worrrrrrrst..." The girl groans in pain but still doesn't move an inch, and walking closer I can see that her face is in distress and scraped, and her purple eyes staring up into the dark sky above are covered by blue rimmed glasses that have multiple black buttons on them, as well as having some sort of only blue colored light-screen-video playing on the actual glass of the glasses.

She then glances back down towards me with pissed off eyes which makes me jump, "You took one of my bullets to the head and leg and don't even have a scratch... you really are something else, I don't know how anyone is gonna catch you..." She says which surprises me, but it doesn't take long for me to catch on to what she's doing.

"Flattering me won't work here. Just stay down, and we'll uh decide what to do with you. The more you co-operate, the more you'll.. the higher chance you'll have to be alright." I say to try to sound intimidating, but at the same time respectful so that she might be more inclined to listen.

"Ughhhhhh, if you're- ow... thinking of letting me go just kill me... I've got some friends on the other side I wanna see... plus this place is a shithole, and I can't get any bounties with these injuries, meaning I'm... fuuuuucked." The girl asks...?

"What? Seriously, you want to die? I mean... sure, I guess we'll consider it? Only if you stay down though." I accept her agreement blindly, of course I won't be the one to kill her though...

"Thanks... before that th-ow... ough what people do I have left that I'll leave here... Relas... Mark... Dahai..." The girl starts listing peoples names off as she closes her eyes which gets me sad, we've gotten her into such a bad state that death is the only way out...

"...Wait a minute, why do I feel like I'm missing something... Relas, Mark, Dahai... Dahai?!"

"Wait, you knew Dahai? The doctor Dahai?" I ask which causes the girl to slowly open her slightly more alive eyes.
