4 years ago, inside of the Hopian Army run School for Soldiers.
Karia's P.O.V.
"Hey, is true? I've heard from Jessie that you've got a crush on Sariel." I get snapped out from my daze due to this boring lesson as my immature friend Lory who's sitting at the metal desk next to mine whispers to me.
"Huh- Jessie told you that? What a bitch- o-of course not!" I aggressively whisper back to her as I start to blush and scratch the side of my face.
"Oh my, you so do! He is hot so I can't blame you though." She says back to me with an annoying wink.
"...Ok fine I do but you can't tell anyone about it! Promise me!" I whisper back to her uneasily as I glance around the room to make sure no ones listening.
"Hmmm~ Why do you care, I thought that you've already been with a bunch of other guys before." She starts to tease me as her face turns into a sly one.
"W-well yeah but, "
"BUUUUUUUUUUUUTTTT YOU'RE NOT LISTENING!!!!" A deep voice screams into my ear, causing me to jump backwards which causes me to fall back off of my chair and to slam my head into the desk right behind me- until I finally fall to the floor.
"Do you care about your job at all Soldier?! For what reason did you join the Hopian Army, to become a janitor?! You'll be squashed like a damn BUG out there if you don't know any battle tactics! Understood?!" My dumb teacher "scolds" me as I look up at him and his white skinned head and long white beard- with the rest of his body being as fat as a balloon.
"Yes, sir." I say submissively, which causes Lory to start snickering like a two year old.
"Good. Honestly, and the higher ups wonder why the Hopian Army is so weak nowadays..." He says with a sigh as he runs his hand through his white hair, and gets interrupted by the bell for lunch.
"Class is dismissed." He says he walks back towards his long desk, with all the students in the smallish class heading out the classroom door.
"Pfft. You looked like you pissed yourself back there." Lory continues to laugh as she stretches down her hand to me.
"Oh shut up bitch, help me up already." I respond to her with a smirk as I grab her hand and allow her to pull me up.
🥪🥪🥪
"Hey Karia, sup?" I hear one of my many guy friends ask as he drops his tray onto the table right next to mine, and he sits on the bench next to me right after.
"Not much, Lory and all that had an early class today so I'm stuck here alone... oh yeah, didn't your class have combat training today?" I ask as I pick up a fry and dip it in small styrofoam cup of ketchup on my tray, already knowing the answer to my question though as I can smell Jame's sweat through the navy blue long sleeved and long panted uniform we all have to wear.
"Oh God don't even remind me, we had... her as our mentor too. Like how the hell is she even an Officer, she's fucking fourteen and her training for us sucks. It's way too hard and makes no sense..." He whispers to me and I immediately feel pity towards him, as we both look towards the silver haired "girl" in question, Officer Aora, who's eating by herself like usual at the far end of the officers cafeteria table.
"What was that, rookie? I suppose you're right, my training was far too easy today... thank you for the advice." That white skinned shemale somehow hears us as she shouts out to us from her table, staring us down with her amber eyes and at the same time she picks up the piece of steak on her plate with her bare hands and rips a piece off of it with her teeth.
"..." We both look away awkwardly, not even knowing how to respond to that.
"...Hey, wanna head outside of the rest of lunch?" James says to me sadly as some tears of shame for screwing over his classmates trickle down his face.
"Ah, haha, sure..." I respond to him nicely as I stand up, trying to keep my eyes away from Officer Aora who I know is still staring us down...
👁👁
"Soooooo, Karia... I heard about your lover boy, you gonna make a move?" I hear Jessie say from the side of me as me and James (who just ditched for me for some other guys...) arrive outside on the artificial grass that lies under the cloudy sky outside of our training facility.
"You! Why couldn't you keep your mouth shut, you promised that you would!" I shout out to her with a pissed off, but entertained laugh and smirk as I run up to my dumb friend.
"Haaaaah? Hey, Sariel! Karia wants to say something to-"
"Hey!!" I complain as a blush floods my face and I stumble towards Jessie and try to cover her mouth, which is pretty hard considering how tall she is.
"Haha, oh my. He's, pfft, not even here idiot! To think that the one who had every Soldier boy on the tip of her fingers would get this flustered..." Jessie laughs with a dirty smirk on her face.
"W-whatever..." I respond back to her with a pout as I look to the side of us, staring at the fence made of pure electricity that boards us off from the outside.
"But really though, I hope Sariel's ok... the rumors of Soldiers dying- or at least being badly injured on their first mission is kinda worrying. But I mean, he is travelling with Erucid, and I doubt he out of anyone would let his trainees get hurt. And plus Sariel actually has a functioning Blessing too, all I have is my... thing." I zone out and think to myself, with my mood being killed as I remember how weak I really am. I mean, last training-
"Rookie number two. I've gotten notice that you ranked the lowest in the last endurance test." I hear a deep voice sound from the doorway I just came out of, and knowing damn well who it's coming from I shakily turn my head around to meet the tall silver haired monster that is Officer Aora wearing her navy blue uniform.
"Um-"
"The higher ups have asked me to fix that issue for you. So I will. Get changed in ten minutes, we're heading to the gym." She says sternly as she turns around and heads back inside to where she came from.
"...S-"
"...Shit." I think to myself instead so that she-devil can't hear me like last time.
