Chapter 7

Brandon Gregory Chandlier

"Damn it, Pam! That's all you gonna do and yet you can't do it right?!" Bulyaw ni Greg sa secretary niya.

Nakayuko ito at medyo nanginginig na sa kaba at kakasigaw ko.

"If you want to stay in this job better be effecient and professional!" Dagdag ko pa.

Tiningnan ko siya. Kumunot na ang noo ko ng makitang ko siyang umiiyak na.

"Sir, sorry po. Unprofessional man po yung rason ko at least po naging honest naman po ako" Paliwanag nito, in a shaking voice.

Nanlaki ang butas ng ilong ko sa sinabi niya.

Ano daw?! Nire-reverse psychology niya ba ako?

Fuck!

Saka ano nga ba ang rason niya?!

Nakalimutan lang naman niya na i-remind sa ako na ngayon yung meeting ko sa isang Taiwanese Investor.

Tsk!

Napailing na lang ako.

I don't want to prolong this conversation anymore. I will deal with her later. As of now, I have to hurry up to be able to catch that meeting.

Kung hindi pa tumawag yung representative ni Mr. Lin sa akin hindi ko pa malalaman na may appointment ako dito. I could have lost that fucking deal. Just because of my stupid secretary!

Dali dali ko ng inayos ang mga gamit ko. Nilagay ko na sa attahe case at lakad takbo na ang ginawa ko. But before I reach my office door lumingon muna ako sa secretarya kong nakayuko pa din at parang napako na sa kinatatayuan nito.

"I'm not done dealing with you. I'll talk to you when I get back." Banta ko sa kanya bago ako umalis.

Nasa elevator na ako nung mag ring ang cellphone ko.

Si Akihiro, short for Aki. Ang Bodyguard/PA ko (Personal Assistant). Iba din yung sa office ko which is si Pam yun. Iba din si Aki. He's a liscensed navy enforcer sa Japan. And my mother suggested Aki to be my bodyguard.

My mother, Isabella Matsuyama Chandlier. A half Japanese half Filipino was born in Japan, is a loving housewife to my father Harvey Chandlier, a British business magnate who owns Chandlier Corporation.

We own malls, hotels, resorts and many more. As of now, I'm the one who's in charge of our business. I'm also one of the most youngest CEO in the country and currently the top most eligible bachelor.

Why? I have it all.

Money, women, fame, looks.

What can they ask for?

My previous job before my father transfer his responsibilty to the company to me, I was a model. Not just the typical local model but I'm a worldclass model. In fact, back in 2010 I was ranked as the most highest paid male model followed by Sean O'pry.

But then, my father decided to quit the job as the CEO of Chandlier Corp and pass it to me, just because he wants to spend more of his time for his wife, my mother of course. How sweet.

Now, at the age of 32, I'm one hell of a succesful businessman in and outside the country. I could not ask for more. I'm happy and contented with my life.

"Hello Aki, I have to go on a meeting. Don't bother to follow me okay?" Sabi ko dito.

"Okay, Greg." He replied.

And I hang up the phone. I hurriedly run to my sports car blue BMW and start the engine immediately. I look at my Rolex wristwatch and it's pass one PM already! Mr. Lin's representative said that the businessman had only an hour to spare because he's going back to Taiwan for another business related matter.

How convenient! I'm sarcastic on that.

So in order to catch up on Mr. Lin, I drive my car fast.

"Oh! Shoot!" I exclaimed when I stop because of the traffic. I punch my steering wheel out of frustration.

I can hear outside that there's a car collision in front so that causes the traffic.

How convinient it is! Fuck!

I don't have time for this. I have to think.

Think fast!

When suddenly my phone rang.

'Honey' calling.

I answered via bluetooth device.

"Hi honey. What's up?" I said while still stuck up in the traffic. Nawala agad yung pagka-frustrate ko ng marinig ko ang boses ng nasa kabilang linya.

"Honey. Where are you? Can you come over? I miss you." She said.

Yeah, sorry ladies but I'm taken already. The one who is calling to me now is my girlfriend, and we're in a relationship for a year now.

"I'd love to come over honey but I something to do and it's really important, I'm sorry okay? I'll make it up to you tonight. You like that?" Malanding balik ko dito.

I heard her chuckle.

"Oh really? But hon, I'm sorry to disappoint you but I have a scheduled modelling project starting this evening. And it's out of town. I'm leaving this afternoon and be back on sunday." sabi niya.

Oh? So lonely nights for me in what?

Five days?

Fuck!

"Is that so? Well I don't have a choice but to let you go." I joked.

"Yeah. Ahmm. Where exactly are you now?You know, I have this favor to ask you." Sabi niya.

"What is it." I asked.

"I happen to see it when Kisha. You know Kisha don't you? So she and I went to the mall yesterday and I saw this set of jewelry. After I look on it I can't take my eyes off it na. Can you, can you buy it for me? Please honey?" She said pleading.

"Of course! I'll ask Aki to purchase it to you." I willingly said.

"Oh! Thank you very much! Honey I love you! Mwahh!" She said.

I chuckled.

"Anything for you."

"So, bye na. I have to get ready. Love you. See you on sunday!" She said.

"Okay bye, take care, love you too." I said before ending the phone call.

After that call I dialed Aki's number and instructed him about that jewelry.

I focus back in my current state. The traffic is still heavy. I got impatient again.

"Shit! I have to get out of here." I muttered while switching my gear to left. I will use that shortcut and I'll be in my appointment in no time.

I was heading that way. Actually I've known that shortcut because of Aki. We have onced tried to drive there and it's effective! So I drive my car fast again.

Nakikita ko na ang daan. "one way" yun ang nakalagay sa likuan. Lumiko na ako.

Pero nung nasa kalagitnaan na ako ng may humarang sa akin.
