Yesterday I had Lighthouse during lunch. Lighthouse is a group at my school that does bible studies every Tuesday during the lunch hour. We have youth pastors and speakers come in to lead us in a devotional. Sometimes some of the committee members will also speak. I am on the committee so I am there every Tuesday. Yesterday we talked about wisdom and Solomon. For those of you who don't know who Solomon is, he was the wisest man who ever lived (besides Jesus). He was also the king of Israel after David died. One of the points that really stood out to me was if you want wisdom you have to be in God's word and get to know the heart of God. As I said in my journal entry yesterday, this is something I struggle with. I struggle with reading my bible daily and studying it really well. This was a challenge I took on to really study my bible so that can one day become wise.

I really wish I would have heard these words sooner. It would have made my whole crazy friend problems so much easier to deal with. It would have taken the loneliness away and helped me with my anxiety before it got really bad. I guess this was God's way of teaching me something more valuable though. He needed me to go through some hard stuff to learn how to trust him more. he needed me to go through hard stuff to show me how valuable wisdom is.

"How much better to get wisdom than gold,
to get insight rather than silver!" Proverbs 16:16

Seek out wisdom. This is my challenge to all of you. Seek it like gold. Guaranteed that it will be worth it. You'll never regret it.
