Hi all. So today when i logged on and went to look at my notifications, I saw 2 announcements made by @TaniaMckenzie about how men are being treated. She really made me think. Guys aren't given the same importance anymore. They are told to be tough, emotionless, strong and never a burden. This happens while girls are being told to be open about there feelings and it's ok to cry. Come on! Men are also HUMAN! Girls aren't the only ones with emotions! I know a guy who is actually very open about his feelings and doesn't try to make it seem like he has it all together because really no one has it all together! Guys have hearts too! And that is what makes a guy so special. They can be strong and brave, but also have a soft spot for feelings and deep emotional talks too. This is what I would say makes the best man.
Jesus is the best example of this. He was (And still is) a strong, brave and emotional man. He helped others and empathised with them. He cried when one of his closest friends died. He cared for others and wasn't afraid to show his true feelings. God gave us feelings to use them. They aren't supposed to be locked away never to be seen. They are to be used to show empathy, sympathy and genuine love. Locking our feelings in the back of our heart will surely make our lives worthless.
Guys, we know you have feelings just like us girls. We want you to be able to share your true feelings and emotions with us. It's ok to be strong and brave but when it really comes down to it we don't want you to become robots. YOU ARE HUMAN! You will have problems and fears, maybe mental disorders, physical problems, or even emotional issues but that doesn't mean you ahve to hide it just because you are a guy.
And to all us girls. We need to respect the men in our lives. We need to be understanding that they have feelings too and that just like us they have problems. We need to be there for them and love them. No more hating on a guy for showing his true emotions. no more giving him ridicule for "Being a mess". Love them and accept that they are different but are in some ways the same. We all need love and all deserve to know that we are valuable and Beautifully and Wonderfully made! God loves us and made us how we are supposed to be. Don't go throwing that away because of the worlds stereotypes. God loves you so you can love yourself.
