October 31,
Halloween. It's here and I'm surrounded by many creepy jack -o-lanterns and people in costumes. What's a Christian girl going to do about this strange holiday? I already don't participate in trick or treating or dressing up in creepy costumes. This holiday is so strange in my eyes, what's the point? To everyone it's all about the candy and creepy decorations. They don't think twice about what this could possibly be doing to there souls. They indulge themselves in a world where evil is praised and almost worshipped. It's very sad to see. Sometimes I wish I could stand up and just start preaching it out. Telling everyone what God did for them and tell them all that praising evil is only glorifying our biggest enemy, satan. He is here only to steal kill and destroy. He wants to take everyone captive and keep them within his reach. Halloween is just another way of satan tricking people into his trap.
So what do we as Christians do about this? In the world we live in it is very hard to stand up for what we believe. If we speak against someone else's belief we are called judgemental and a bully. And in a society where just about anything goes we can't do much about things like this. So if we can't go telling people that they are wrong for doing what they are doing then what do we do? We can boldly show that we are Christians and that we are here to show his love. spread God's love and his message with anyone and everyone! Boldly wear that cross necklace or read your bible at school. Don't be afraid, just go for it. Who care what others think, this isn't for you or about you. It's about God and what he thinks.
