Hi all! Sorry for no updates this past week, I was going to yesterday but I was sick and stayed home from school. So I'll be writing what I was going to write yesterday.
Every Tuesday at lunch, I go to a bible study type group at my school. It is run by some students, including myself and this last Tuesday we had a guy come and talk about our purpose in life and where that purpose comes from. This is what I learned from him.
1st I learned that to find our purpose we have to rest in the love God has for us. We were made to be loved by God. He put us here so that he could love us. It's that simple. He just wants to love us and we don't have to show him that we are worthy of his love. He loved us even while we were sinners (Romans 5:8). He loved us through our mistakes and when we were at our worst. Nothing can separate us from his love (Romans 8:38). It was such a great reminder that even though I mess up or stop trusting God (Which I do a lot), God never stops loving me.
2nd I was reminded that we have to find our purpose in God. Our purpose doesn't come from what we do. It isn't in how we look or how many likes we have on Facebook or Instagram. It doesn't come from our insecurities or faults. It doesn't come from what people say about us. It comes from what God has done with us and who he is. Our purpose and worth come from what God says and thinks about us. He loves us which means he knows your beautiful and perfect and he has a plan for you.
If you're struggling with what your purpose is in life, go to God and ask him what he wants you to do. Dig into his word and get to know him and his heart. Learn what he thinks of you and how much he loves you. What you'll find will be amazing, guaranteed.
