Hi all. So for the past three or so weeks I've been doing a challenge with one of my friends from camp. We were both struggling to read our bibles regularly, so we decided that we would start to text each other twice a week and tell each other what we've been learning. This has become such a great way to keep myself and my friend accountable. This has given me a reminder to DO my devotions everyday because if I don't then I won't have stuff to tell my friend each week.

I would like to extend this challenge to you as well. I'd like to challenge you to find someone, a friend, relative, mentor, etc, to meet or text once or twice a week to talk about what both of you ahve been learning. This will require some commitment and you will need to make sure that you DO your devotions, but in the end it will be worth it.

I've found that I have really benefited from this challenge. It has helped me draw closer to God and has given me a new joy and purpose in my life. I am happier, more motivated and in general more optimistic. My day isn't so pointless and mundane anymore. God has been filling my day with new opportunities and exciting "adventures".

Another important part of this challenge is to pray! Prayer is our way of talking to God and reading the Bible is God's way of talking to us! So we have to do both to really be connected to God. I know it will be hard in the beginning, you may not want to read your bible or might just be "too busy" but I think that if you have enough time to be on Wattpad, reading or writing, I think you can take 15 minutes out of that time and read God's amazing word. It won't be easy but it is totally worth it.
