Hey all! I'm back!

So school is back in full swing and that means that regular updates will most likely be happening again! So I'll catch you all up on what happened this summer. This summer I worked at Winkler Bible camp for 7 weeks.

July training weekend: Lots of sessions and lots of time to just hangout. An amazing thing that happened was that I didn't have any stomach aches at all! Praise God! The weekend was really fun and I learned a lot during the sessions.

Week 1: Cabin leading junior girls (ages 9 and 10). This was a really great first week with some pretty wild kids.

Week 2: This week was a little messed up. I had 1 set of little buddies (7-8 year old's), then a set of three day juniors (ages 8-10). The first day we had 4 hours of chapel because there was a really bad storm. Then on Wednesday with my juniors, we had an LDP placement with us all day. That was really great and now her and I are really good friends.

Week 3: This week I had the oldest juniors (ages 10-12). They were pretty wild but I made a really good connection with one of the girls that week. We still text regularly now. This was one of my favourite weeks and cabins.

Week 4: I went to Ontario with my family. We went boating and fishing and had a really relaxing week.

Week 5: This week was really mixed up. I went to my grandparents for a sleepover then headed off to camp to help with day camp. I had two girls that were such sweeties. I had such a blast with them.

Week 6: This week was kind of messed up too. I had two sets of little buddies (it was a 4 day week). This was kind of nice in a way because I got a night off without kids. So my friend and I had a sleepover in my cabin. We had such a blast.

Week 7: This week I got to go to teepee village with the oldest juniors! It was so fun staying out in the bush for a week! My girls were pretty great except for a one or two that were pretty crazy and over dramatic.

Week 8: This week I was a 1 on 1 for a girl with ADHD. She was such a sweetheart and loved giving me hugs all the time. She had an amazing talent for making dragon noises, I was very impressed. The best part of that week was when my girl asked me if only bad people go to hell. I said no, everyone that isn't a Christian will go to hell. She then said "oh, I don't want that to happen to me. How do I become a Christian?" I then got to lead her to Christ while outside star gazing. This was extra special for her because she lives in the city so she doesn't really get to see stars. That was the most awesome part of my summer. That weekend we had a staff end of summer party. It was kind of sad knowing that camp was over and many people weren't coming back next year. We had a blast but it was bitter sweet.

Week 9: Camp has a week called Ringette. It's a rental group that we kind of run. So I worked that week and got to lead a cabin of girls around to all the activities and hangout with them during the day. It was a pretty chill week and it was really fun hanging out with the other staff in the evenings and during the time the girls went to the rink.

So that was pretty much my summer. It was crazy, but God did so many amazing things and I'm so thankful that I could impact kids lives in this way. I can't wait to see what God will do next year!
