mark rushed into the hospital, seeing jinyoung sitting down with hoseok at his side. he runs over to them with tears rushing down his face. a yell was heard from a room down the hall that sounded too much like youngjae's voice.
"jinyoung what if my best friend doesn't make it?!?"mark freaks out, causing jinyoung to sit him down. the boy rubs the boy's shoulder as mark sobs. he wasn't prepared for this to happen right now.
mark places his head between his knees and shakes. he was absolutely terrified. he was on the edge of a panic attack. he needed jackson, that's the only person who could help.
"jinyoung i need jackson,"mark shakes. jinyoung frowns and pulls mark over to him and hoseok. they both play with his hair and try their hardest to calm the boy down. another scream comes from the room, causing mark to shutter.
"he's in pain,"mark frowns, looking up at jinyoung. jinyoung nods his head and shrugs his shoulders.
"it's childbirth through your dick mark, what do you expect?"he replies. mark nods his head and winces when he hears the boy let out a sob. he was loud considering that he was eight doors down.
"he will be okay mark,"hoseok says, smiling which caused mark to calm down. he nods his head and runs his hands through his hair. he rubs his eyes and nods.
"yeah, he will. everything will be fine,"mark states, trying to convince himself something other than the death of his best friend. he can't lose another person he loves.
mark turns his head to look at the hospital doors opening out of the corner of his eyes. he gasps, making jinyoung look that way too. jinyoung smirks and watches as more tears fall down mark's face.
he gets up, making eye contact with the boy who was standing at the end of the hall. mark covers his mouth with his hands and lets out a sob.
"mark,"the boy whispers.
"jackson,"mark sobs, running over to the boy and wrapping his arms around jackson's neck. his face falling in the crook of the boy's neck as well. mark was sobbing again, shaking as he finally got to feel the embrace of his love once again.
jackson had tears streaming down his face as well as his arms were wrapped around the older. they stood in the middle of the hospital crying. mark pulls away and grabs jackson, pulling his lips onto his own.
mark had never felt something so wonderful in his life. he had finally gotten what he wanted, to be with jackson. jackson pulls away and looks at his wonderful boyfriend.
"hi,"jackson whispers, moving his thumb to wipe off mark's tears. mark mumbles out a hey and smiles for the first time in a while. a happy, real, smile.
"mark,"jackson takes his hands, getting down on one knee. mark's eyes widen as jackson puts his forehead on the other's hands.
"mark i know i just got back but i missed you so much. i realized how i literally can't live without you. i went insane without you. you are my world, my heart, my love. i don't know if i would've survived if you weren't there for me. mark tuan, you are my savior. as cheesy as it sounds, you really are. that's why i need to be with you and only you for the rest of my life and i just can't wait. so,"jackson pulls out a small black box and opens it to show a beautiful silver ring. mark gasps at the ring and feels his legs starting to give out.
"will you marry me?"
mark nods his head, falling down into jackson's arms as he sobs. jackson lets out a breath, feeling his nervousness go away. in that moment is was just markson. mark had never felt so happy in his life.
"i missed you so much,"mark mumbles, still holding on to jackson. jackson laughs and nods his head. he puts his hands in mark's hair.
"i missed you so much too mark. so god damn much,"jackson says, this time it was real. it wasn't a dream even though it felt like it. they were together, finally. it was perfect, until.
a loud scream breaks them apart. jackson's eyes widen as he looks at jinyoung.
"is youngjae having the baby?!?"jackson yells. mark nods and leads him over to the boys. he sits down, mark sitting next to him as he explains his fears.
"don't worry mark. he will be perfectly fine,"jackson reassures, petting his head. mark leans into his touch and smiles. for once in his life he felt like everything would be just...
fine.
