today youngjae was pretty excited, yet nervous. he had an ultrasound, but after he was meeting with a couple that also had a male pregnancy. he was nervous to meet them but jaebum knew they were good people.
"relax baby,"jaebum says, taking youngjae's hand in his own and rubbing his thumb over the other's softly. youngjae nods and kisses jaebum's cheek.
jaebum pulls into the spot and they get out of the car. jaebum wraps his arms around youngjae's waist making the younger squeal. jaebum laughed and they continued on into the office.
"youngjae! hows it going?"the nurse asks. youngjae smiles, patting his stomach.
"it's been good!"
"have you felt a kick yet?"she asks while rubbing the gel onto youngjae's stomach. he shakes his head no and she smiles, rubbing circles in hope that the baby may kick.
"well. you most likely will feel some kicks soon, overall you look good! the baby is healthy,"the nurse smiles, taking off her gloves and handing jaebum a picture. jaebum thanks her and the doctor comes in, asking them the usual.
"so i hear you're meeting with someone today to talk about natural birth,"the doctor says. youngjae furrows his eyebrows and looks at jaebum who smiles.
"jaebum told me. anyways. there is no need to be nervous it could harm the baby. they are a nice couple i was their doctor,"he says, smiling at youngjae. youngjae nods, rubbing small circles into his stomach and thanking the doctor.
the couple walks hand in hand, out the door and into the car where youngjae looks down at his stomach.
"i can't wait for our little one to come,"youngjae says. smiling, jaebum nods his head, turning in the direction of the park they were going to meet up with the couple in.
jaebum parks the car, taking youngjae's hand once again and walking towards the couple. jaebum knew what they looked like because they had facetimed him before hand.
the couple had a small daughter at the age of 6. her name was ara and she loved to be outside. her "mother" had her when he was 19, and he went through with natural birth instead of c-section.
the couple smiled as youngjae and jaebum sat down at the table with them. youngjae lightened up from seeing their smiles.
"hello! you must be youngjae. congratulations. my name is kim jongdae but you can call me chen,"the blonde haired male says, shaking both of their hands. jaebum smiles and looks at youngjae who was instantly happy from their kind welcome.
"and i am zhang yixing. but you can call me lay,"the other male says, shaking their hands. chen squeals as he sees youngjae's stomach and instantly starts asking questions.
"do you know the gender? what names do you have in mind? when's due date? how far along are you? is the baby health-"
"okay chen, calm down,"lay says, taking his hands. chen laughs and says sorry but that he was just super excited.
"well. i do not know the gender. we haven't really talked about names yet. the due date is in December 13th. I am 3 months in. and yes our baby is healthy,"youngjae chuckles. jaebum smiles and rubs his hand with his thumb again.
"that's great! i can't wait to meet him or her we are here for you whenever you need us,"chen says, placing their hands on top of youngjae and shaking in a supportive way.
"uhm chen c-can i ask you something?"youngjae whispers out. chen pops up and nods his head. man this boy really was hyper.
"jaebum how about we let these two talk for a while,"lay points out, moving his head to the side. jaebum nods and pecks youngjae before walking off with lay.
"you two seem really happy. i'm glad you found someone good,"lay says. jaebum smiles and sits down next to one of his old best friends.
"yeah we really are. i'm glad you found chen, you two look like a match made in heaven,"jaebum says, complimenting the other. lay laughs and nods his head.
"i love him. i was actually thinking of maybe uhm proposing,"lay says, causing jaebum to choke on his drink. he turns to lay and lets out a squeal.
"woah there bum calm down."
"oh my god! can i help set it up?"jaebum says excitedly and lay nods, making jaebum even more hyper.
the two boys sat there talking about proposal ideas while chen and youngjae were continuing to talk about the pregnancy and birth.
"does it hurt? natural birth?"youngjae asks chen. chen lets out a big sigh and nods his head.
"it hurts like hell. but if you're strong enough you'll know to push through it. just think you can be able to see your baby if you do this,"chen smiles. youngjae nods and looks over at jaebum and lay.
"do you love him?"chen asks out of nowhere. youngjae smiles and nods his head.
"i really do. what about you?"youngjae asks, looking at lay. chen nods his head and turns back to the younger.
"i love him with all my heart."

oof! i added in laychen because laychen is my everything. they are going to be a big part of the story now and so is their little girl ara. so i hope y'all don't mind them being around. and i know laychen isn't really a big ship in exo but i ship it and wanted to add them SO.
also i wanted to talk about writing schedule. i'm going to try and update every wednesday, obviously not tomorrow unless i'm up for that, but yeah i'm going to try that and see how it works out.
