Summary: Daniel misses his boyfriend
Daniel's POV
It was mere seconds before the quartet known as Why Don't We were going to preform their last show in Berlin, Germany. The band had already done their handshake and prayer, now a blue-eyed, brunette was waiting for the adrenaline to take over. He was ready to let his pounding heart and shimmering eyes lead him through this concert, but it never came. He and his bandmates walked out onto the stage with Zach leading the way and Daniel bringing up the rear, but even as the piercing screams of overjoyed teenaged girls echoed in his ears, the hormone didn't flood through his veins. An hour of singing and dancing, all coming from the little energy the second oldest of the group had. They said goodbye at the end, his friends' faces split with bright smiles, but his own sweat covered face a borned nothing, but an open mouth. Two lungs desperate for oxygen and a heaving chest was how Daniel ended the show. He walked backstage with the others and flopped on the couch, burying his face into the soft cushions. He lifted his head when his lungs screamed in protest and instead rested his cheek against the cool leather." Dani? You okay, bud?" Jonah asked as he walked over, a cold water in his hand. He handed it to the panting boy, who all, but snatched it from him and chugged the life giving liquid as it began to soothe his burning throat. Three pairs of wide eyes stared at him." Daniel, what's wrong?" Jack asked as he and the youngest of the group walked over to stand beside a bewildered Jonah. The boy being questioned took a few extra seconds to regain his composure before parting his lips to speak." My... my adrenaline didn't kick in... I had to do the whole show with out it." He explained, pausing between words to take a few more deep breathes before he leaned against the back of the black couch, his lungs finally calming down." Really? That's never happened to any of us before, but it's especially never happened to you. You're usually the most hyperactive." Jonah explained, head tilting ever so slightly. Daniel was about to respond when his phone went off and a familiar ringtone filled their ears. The brunette's hand was grabbing his phone the second he heard it. He answered without hesitation, his face lighting up for the first time that night as a blonde boy covered his phone screen." Hi, baby boy." Daniel greeted with a grin." Hey, babe. I hope I didn't interrupt anything. I made sure to wait a few minutes after you told me your concert was over to call." Corbyn explained as blue eyes locked, the pop star's softening." Of course not, you know I'll always have time for you." He promised, the other boys looking at each other in confusion most likely caused by their friend's sudden and drastic change in mood, but he always did that when it came to Corbyn." How was the show?" The blonde asked." Oh, it was great. Our fans go hard, I feel like I may have ruptured an eardrum." Daniel joked, Corbyn giggled." You say that about every show, babe." The older pointed out, not able to see the looks his boyfriend's friends were giving, completely ignorant to lie he was just told." And every time I say it, it gets more and more true." He countered, Corbyn was about to speak when a soft yell could me heard." Yes!?" He called back, tilting his head to hear what the voice had to say." Okay, I'll be down in a second! I'm sorry to cut our call short, but I totally forgot that I promised Ashley I would drive her to her sleepover." Corbyn apologized, he wasn't looking at his phone screen, therefore he didn't see the way the singer's face dropped at the new information. He put on a fake smile when his eyes were on the device again." It's okay, don't worry about it. As long as you promise that we can still talk at our normal time tonight." Daniel bartered." Deal, I love you." Corbyn smiled." I love you, too, Corbs." The younger responded, the frost blonde hung up and Daniel sat his phone beside him, sighing as he buried his face into his palms. He peeked over the tips of his fingers to look at the others." Sorry, boys. What were we talking about?" He questioned, voice far softer than before." You miss him, don't you?" Zach asked, Daniel nodded as hot tears began to fill his crystal blue eyes, Jack was at his side immediately. He pulled the older into a hug and let him sob into his chest." I miss him so, so much." All of the boys were used to being away from their families and for Daniel romantic partner, but never for this long. The brunette could barely manage to spend three and a half weeks away from his beloved blonde, but he couldn't bare going almost two months without him. And with two weeks still left on the tour, he wasn't going to see him anytime soon." It's okay, Daniel. We only have two more weeks left." Jack comforted as Jonah sat beside them and Zach pulled up a chair." That's too long! I hate touring, I wanna be with him." The brunette whimpered as he grabbed fistfuls of Jack black and white shirt." It's not fair."918
