Summary: Corbyn's playing hard to get and Zach is sick of waiting

Corbyn's POV
Corbyn searched his locker for his headphones, lip tucking between his teeth in irritation. Strong arms wrapped around his waist, someone's face nuzzling into his hair.

" Hey, gorgeous," Zach purred, the smaller leaning into him, mood instantly lifted.

" Hi, Z," he smiled up to him, head resting on the older's shoulder. Zach leaned down, rubbing his nose against Corbyn's cheek. The blonde giggled, holding onto his hand.

" You know I like you a lot, Baby. Let me take you out Friday." His heart screamed yes, but he wanted to be a tease.

" I can't. I promised Jay I would help him study," Zach swallowed a sigh, his grip tightening slightly." It won't be until later. Why can't you do both?"

" He's really bad at social studies," Corbyn chuckled, looking into his eyes. Zach didn't meet his gaze, instead he glanced down the hall.

" Okay. Bye," he released the shorter boy and walked away, tucking his hands into his pockets.

Corbyn watched him leave, confused. Zach always walked him to class. The thought was pushed away as a very familiar tingle began coursing through him. He let out a dreamy sigh, finally finding his headphones.

Zach's POV
" Maybe he doesn't want me," Zach sighed, leaning against the wall.

" Do you see the way he looks at you? The kid defiantly wants you," Daniel reassured, finishing the last of his apple juice.

" I don't see how he could. At first I thought he was just playing hard to get, but... it's been months, Dani. I haven't even kissed his damn cheek yet. Maybe, he just wants to be friends. Maybe I should just move on." His heart ached at the idea, but what else was he supposed to do?

" If you really think that, then you should. You clearly aren't happy," the older's voice softened, looking over to his hurt best friend.

" I really do love him, but... I can't keep doing this," Zach sniffed, wiping away his tears. Daniel grabbed his hands, pulling the smaller into his chest.

" Don't cry, Z. You're an amazing dude and there are plenty of fish in the sea. Just, don't rush into anything, okay? Promise me," the younger brunette tucked his head into the crook of the other's neck. Nodding into it.

" I promise," he pressed his cheek to his pec. A gentle hand caressed the small of his back. Brown gems closing as he melted into him." I don't know what I would do without you."

" The feelings mutual," Daniel smiled, nuzzling his face into the top of his head. Pressing a soft kiss to the crown.

~ A Few Hours Later ~

" I'm gonna go to the restroom. You'll wait for me, right?" Zach wondered, standing from where they sat on the bleachers.

" Of course," Daniel smiled.

Zach walked back into the building, letting instinct lead him to the nearest bathroom. His mind wandered, like usual, it went to Corbyn. He sighed, forcing the blonde to the very, very back of his mind.

He slammed into something, stumbling back only slightly. The obstacle grunted, falling to the floor.

" Sorry about that. I wasn't paying attention," he reached his hand out, pulling the ravenette to his feet.

" It was probably my fault, too. I'm a little lost," he chuckled, running his fingers through long hair.

" Where are you headed?"
