Summary: Jonah and Daniel drive their son to his first day of kindergarten
3rd Person POV
A young, bleached blonde boy sat on his father's lap as they drove to his elementary school. It was his first day of kindergarten." I'm so excited." He squeaked happily as he bounced on the older male's lap." Really? I always dreaded going to school." Jonah admitted as he drove the black vehicle." Of course! Me and Zachy have the same teacher." He explained, a wide smile settling on his face." Oh no, they made a huge mistake putting you two together." The brunette chuckled, Daniel laughing along with him." Mean, me and Zachy are good together." He pouted, laying his head against Daniel's chest as he glared softly at Jonah." If your idea of good is hiding behind the couch so you can throw water balloons at me when I get home from work. Then you boys are complete saints." The oldest countered, voice laced with mirth." We just wanted to cheer you up, you always look so grumpy when you come home." The frost blonde reasoned." By making him soaking wet?" Daniel questioned, wrapping his arms around his son." Water balloon fights always make me and Zachy happy." He explained, grinning up at his fellow passenger." Baby boy, you don't have to assault me to make me smile, seeing you and your father when I get home already makes my happy enough." Jonah's voice was soft, since Corbyn had had his best interests at heart when the young duo pranked him. He reached over and ruffled his dyed locks, the young boy giggling. Daniel interlaced his fingers with Jonah's once it was placed back on the middle console." I wanna hold hands, too." Corbyn grinned, laying his on top of the oldest brunette. When he came to a stop at a red light, Jonah brought their hands to his lips, pressing a soft kiss to each appendage. He drove around one more corner before stopping in front of the school's parking lot." Bye, Bean. You can tell us all about your day when we pick you up. I love you." Daniel kissed the crown of the child's head." I love you more, papa." Corbyn answered, pecking Daniel's cheek, giggling when Jonah picked him up and plopped him down on his thighs." Have fun, baby, love you." His eldest parent kissed his forehead." I love you, too, daddy." He smiled as Jonah kissed his nose, before the door was opened. Their child jumped out and ran to Zach the second he saw the shorter. They hugged tightly, then the faux blonde turned to wave at the men in the car, Daniel returned the gesture with a loving, but sad smile. Once Corbyn had entered the building Jonah began to drive them home." Is something wrong, my love?" The slightly taller asked, looking over at his husband." He's just growing up so fast. It feels like just yesterday he was this helpless little infant who could barely hold a bottle, now he's in kindergarten." Tears welled in his ocean blue orbs." You're right, he is growing up and that's okay, you know why?" Jonah questioned, the younger shook his head as he wiped his eyes." Because he has you to teach him. And I know that as long as he has your footsteps to follow in, he's going to be an amazing person when it's finally time for our little Bean to sprout." The brunette explained, a smile spreading across Daniel's face in response." Thanks, Jo, you always know what to say." The younger leaned over to press a soft kiss to Jonah's lips. The couple held hands the rest of the ride home, the older brunette couldn't stop smiling as Daniel ran his thumb over his wedding ring.623
