My feelings for this song are similar to those of What Am I. I don't hate it, I don't hate many of their songs, but I wouldn't ever say I like it, but I'm also not indifferent to it. Basically, if I had to chose between liking and disliking this song, I would fall much closer to the dislike side. I would give it a solid 3.9/10, maybe a 4.1.

The Good

1. The Extra Noises
They aren't that bad. I don't think they needed to be there, but I don't mind that they are. They don't take away from the boring lyrics, but sadly they don't do much to make the song more interesting.

2. The Vocals
They're nice. They're also the same as a lot of other Christmas songs. They're really soft and calming, but that's how most people see Christmas. So, even if I personally don't enjoy that lack of originality I can understand why they made the decision they did and don't really fault them for doing so.

3. Everything But Jonah And Daniel's Part
I specifically gave these sections there own category because I really don't like Daniel and Jonah's part, but I'll explain that in the bad. Anyway, I enjoy these parts of the song. I think they're well sang with a good pace. I especially like Zach's part, but that seems to be a running theme recently. Thankfully, these parts make up most of the song, so they are the main reason I don't actually dislike it.

The Bad

1. The Beat
It's really basic. Basic beats aren't always a bad thing, but this beat is the same as other Christmas songs. It's a steady, boring bass with bells in the background. There are obviously other things happening, but the main parts of it are the bells, bass, and a strange xylophone-sounding thing (it's the noise in the very beginning, I have no idea how to describe it). Anyway, this is the same format of most Christmas music. It makes the song sound the same as all the others.

2. The Pacing
I don't dislike the pacing of the entire song. I actually like all the pacing except for Jonah and Daniel's part. The speed at which they sing changes three different times in this one section.

This would be okay if it were separated into three different parts, but this is supposed to be one cohesive area. The whole song is, of course, one story, but this area in particular is connected. It's obvious that Daniel's final line of," Girl, you know what I’m up, I’m just saying," and Jonah's first of," Santa gon’ be leaving at 5 AM," is a direct continuation of Daniel's sentence to a certain extent. Because of this, its extremely awkward that these two lines have a completely different pacing. And the very end is also sung at a different speed than everything else. It creates this weird flow that makes the areas seem choppy, especially when the rest of the song blends together very well.

The silence at the beginning also drags on for far too long. I know it isn't silence, but there's no singing and it's completely useless.

3. The Lyrics
They're shallow. I'm not asking for anything overly complicated, but these lyrics are so uninspired. They're the same as every other Christmas song. I can't stand Jonah and Daniel's section. I don't really know why. It's just so unbearably generic and it makes it hard to listen too. I hate the copycat of the last line. This line," Yeah, anything if I can get to you," it doesn't blend well with Jonah's voice and it's just really unnecessary.

Overall, even if my review seems mostly negative, I don't actually dislike this song. If I had to describe it, I would say it's an average Christmas song. There is nothing special about it, but it's harmless. So while I don't plan on listening to it again, it fits the holiday it was meant for. Even if it is to a fault.
