Summary: Corbyn's best friend drags him to a football game in the hopes getting him to admit his feelings
Corbyn's POV
" You totally like him!" Jonah laughed, looking to his best friend." No, I don't." The younger muttered." Then why do you always watch him when we practice? Why do you get all chocked up when ever he's around?" The older smirked, resting his feet on the seats in front of them." I don't watch him. It's football practice what do you expect me to look at? And I don't get chocked up around him." He responded, voice guarded." Uh huh... Daniel! Bro, come here!" The highschooler called, his companion's frozen eyes going wide." W-what are you doing?" He asked, fear lacing his voice." I'm talking to my friend, who you don't like. So, you should have no problem with that." Corbyn hated the smirk on Jonah's face." Hey, Joan." Daniel greeted as he stopped before the pair." Hey, Corbyn." He smirked, looking the smaller up and down." H-hey." His cheeks grew hot as he casted his gaze away." So, what did you need?" He looked back to the oldest of the trio." To know when the next game is. Corbs said he was coming, but doesn't know the day." He shrugged." W-what?! I never said that. Why would I come to one of the games? I don't even like football." He informed, big eyes shifting to the taller brunette." Because I'm your best friend and you need to support me." Jonah elaborated casually, meanwhile his best friend was on the verge of a mental breakdown." It's Friday and are you really coming, Corbs? We would win for sure if I knew you were cheering for me." The middle-child purred, bitting his lip softly." I-I... y-yeah, I'm com-coming." He answered softly, not meeting the athlete's ocean colored gaze." Cool, I'll see you there. Come on, Joan. Coach will be pissed if he comes out here and sees you sitting down." His voice became casual once more." Okay, I'll be right there." Jonah stretched, Daniel nodded." Alright, see you later, Corbyn." He winked before walking back to the field." You are the worst best friend ever. I hate you." He sighed heavily, burying his face into his palms." First of all, you love me and you know it. Second, you won't be saying that when Dani takes you back to his place to celebrate our win." He smirked, his friend's turning scarlet." Jonah!" It was mixture of a whine and a gasp." I gotta get to the field. I love you." He laughed, departing before Corbyn could responded. Leaving the frost blonde alone on the bleachers.~ Time Skip To Friday ~
" I can't believe I let you talk me into this." He muttered, glaring out the window." Would you stop sulking? I just helped you out, it was getting depressing watching you fall head over heels, just to sit there and act like nothing happened." The older explained, parking his red Kia." Corbs, babe, look at me." The younger turned his head, meeting steel blue pools." I know you're scared and that's okay. When the game's over, just tell him how you feel. The wrost he can do is say no, right? And if he's a dick about it, tell me and I'll kick his ass seven ways to Sunday. Okay?" He grabbed Corbyn's hand as he spoke, lacing their fingers." O-okay... I'll try." The blonde squeezed his hand gently, lips curving. Jonah smiled softly at him." I'll be there the whole time, just come find me." He kissed his knuckles, something he only ever did when his best friend was terrified. They got out the car soon after." Jobear!" Zach jumped into his boyfriend's arms, the older holding him close." Hey, baby. I thought I told you to stop doing that?" He chuckled, pecking his lips, before putting him down." Bean? I didn't think you would be here. I thought you hated football?" The smallest of the ternary turned his focus to the second largest. Jonah's arms snaking around his waist from behind." I do, but Joan made me come. And I told Daniel I would." He spoke the last part softly, shyly looking away." Are you gonna tell him how you feel?" Zach wondered." Hopefully." He smiled." Corbyn!? You actually came, I knew you would." Daniel walked over to them while Jack handed him what appeared to be a ten." Y-you bet on me?" He questioned, not knowing if he was hurt or amused." Jack bet on you. He thought you wouldn't show." The older let their fingers brush with an apologetic sparkle in his ocean orbs. Corbyn felt his face heat up at the contact, looking anywhere, but at him." I-it's ok-okay." He reassured, his crush chuckling." Let me take you to your seat. I saved you the best one." He took the bleached blonde's hand in his own, leading him away.
~ The End Of The Game ~
Corbyn couldn't help, but cheer with the others as the game ended. Zach grabbed his wrist and led him to the field. Jack, Jonah, and Daniel making their way over. The youngest of the quintet kissed the eldest, before they began talking." How was it?" He jumped slightly at the voice, but smiled wide when he saw it was only Daniel." It was great! I need to come to these things more often!" He beamed, pale orbs shining." I'm glad you liked it." He chuckled, Corbyn only now realizing how close they were. He stepped back with crimson cheeks. Casting his gaze to the ground." Why do you always do that around me? I don't like it when you hide your eyes from me." Gentle fingers lifted his head back up, meeting deep blue." That's better." Daniel spoke softly, trying to avoid scaring the timid blonde." I think you're really cute, have I ever told you that?" Corbyn shook his head, too lost to speak." I really like you. How about you let me take you out?" His entire body felt as if it were on fire." O-okay." Daniel smirked." Here's my number. I'll text you the date." Plump lips brushed his own before the older pulled away completely. Walking over to a small group of his teammates. Frozen orbs shifted south to piece of paper in his hand. A smile slowly forming as he felt a presence beside him. He looked up to see his best friend and instantly pulled him into a hug. Nuzzling his head against his toned chest." I love you so fucking much. Thank you, Joan."
