Summary: Jonah's parents have been fighting

Jonah's POV
He pressed his palms harder against his ears as he brought his legs to his chest. They're yelling again." Don't fucking lie to me! Where have you been?!" Zach demanded." I was at work! Like I told you the last hundred times you asked!" Corbyn retorted." Well if you would just..." Their voices trailed off as the young boy whimpered. Tears forcing their way through his tightly shut lids and rolling down his cheeks." D-Daddy. Papa. Stop, please."

~ Two Days Later ~

Jonah was sitting on the couch, watching as his father walked into he kitchen." So you really aren't gonna tell me, huh?" He heard Zach scoff." What the hell are you talking about?" Corbyn snapped, the 6 year old flinched at his harsh tone." Keep your voice down! Joan's in the living room." The shorter brunette whisper-yelled." You're the one who came in here and started... you know what? Fuck this, I'm going to Daniel's." The bleached blonde sighed. The youngest member of the family watched with big eyes as his parent opened the door." Call me when you're ready to actually talk instead of jumping to conclusions." He closed the front door and the sound of a car's engine starting filled the air." Dammit." Zach cursed, voice dripping in guilt." Papa." The small child whispered. The larger male's head whipped over to him. The color draining from his face." P-Papa." He whimpered, water pooling in his blue orbs, spilling over soon after. The married man rushed over to his offspring, pulling Jonah into his chest." Shh, it's alright, Joan." Zach ran his fingers through the kindergartner's soft brown hair." Calm down, baby. Everything's going to be okay. Sweetheart, why are you crying?" The adult inquired gently." I-I don't like it when you and D-Daddy yell at each other. You aren't supposed to yell at the people you love." He whimpered, cheek pressed against the chest of the older man." Oh, baby. You have nothing to worry about. Everyone fights sometimes, all that matters is that you kiss and make up. That's how you know that you really love each other." Zach explained, laying his head on Jonah's. He was already missing Corbyn and the young boy was so much like him. From his eyes to his hair texture, his personality. He even had the frost blonde's smile." But you and Daddy haven't made up. Do you not love him anymore?" The child's voice went soft as he spoke his question, he was afraid of the answer. He may have been young, but he knew what would happen if his fathers ever fell out of love." No, God no. I still love your daddy with every ounce of my heart. We... we're just having some trouble right now, that's all." Zach's voice cracked slightly, tears filling his eyes as his heart broke. Jonah felt this sudden moisture soak into his dark locks. He looked up and saw his parent crying." Don't cry, Papa. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you sad." The smaller hugged him tightly, the bigger male buried his face into his son's small shoulder. Sobs forcing their way up his throat.

~ The Next Day ~

The brunette males walked up to Daniel's front door. Jonah ringing the doorbell since he was closer. Corbyn was the one to open it, frozen pools going wide." Daddy!" The shortest hugged his legs, nuzzling his face against them." Joan said he missed you." Zach spoke softly, looking away from the taller." Oh... is that the only reason you came?" The hurt in his voice was so obviously a deaf man could hear it. The slightly younger stayed quiet for a little while, Corbyn finally looked away from him and Zach swore he could see tears in his eyes." No... i-it... we need to talk. Please." He begged, dark brown orbs moving up to him. They were let in the house when the temporary blonde resident stepped aside." Uncle!" Jonah cried happily, running over and jumping into Daniel's open arms." Well, if it isn't my favorite nephew." He kissed the kid's forehead." I'm your only nephew." He giggled." Where's Uncle Jack?" He wondered, looking around." He's at the store, babe." The fair-skinned brunette answered." Dani, will you watch Jo-jo while me and Z talk?" Corbyn asked." Absolutely, we haven't hung out in while." The ocean-eyed boy answered, with that confirmation. Jonah looked on as his fathers disappeared into a room." What are they doing, Uncle D?" The youngest asked, the gap-toothed man's smile went soft." Kissing and making up."

Zach's POV
" You were right. It was wrong for me to accuse you of something before I knew all the facts." The shorter began." But I... I was upset, I thought you were purposefully avoiding spending time with me and Jonah." He admitted quietly." You have no idea how much that hurt, Zach. For you to immediately assume I was cheating. I would never do that to you." Corbyn's pale eyes filled with tears." I know and I'm sorry. I never ment to hurt you. I love you so much and... and there's always been this part of me that's so scared that you'll leave me. I-I guess I was hoping I could beat you to it. That if I made you want to leave, that it would hurt less when you finally did." Zach was crying at this point, his voice barely coherent due to all its cracking." You have nothing to be afraid of because I'm never leaving your side. I'll always be with you, no matter what happens. No matter how many times we fight." He pulled his husband into his chest, the smaller brunette instinctively buried his face into the crook of his neck." I missed you." To anyone else, Zach's statement would've been to muffled to understand, but to Corbyn, his words were as clear as the Moon on a cloudless night." I missed you, too, my love. I'll never walk out again, I promise." He kissed his nest of messy hair before hiding his face in the soft locks." Can you tell me why you were staying out so late?" Zach made puppy eyes up at him, making his lover melt." Well, I wanted it to be a surprise, but I was looking for a new ring and I was planning a date night for when I was gonna give it to you." Corbyn informed, blue gaze sparkling with affection." But I love my ring." The other explained, pools of melted chocolate studying the simple accessory with fond eyes." I know and you can still keep it, but I wanted to get you a new one. To show that I wouldn't hesitate to marry you a second time." He kissed Zach's lips softly, smiling when the shorter returned it." Papa? Daddy?" Jonah's quiet voice filled their ears, both softening at the sight of their son." Come here, baby boy." He skipped over, laughing when the bleached blonde hoisted him into the air." Let's go home, okay?" Corbyn suggested, their only child smiling broadly." Really?! So you still love, Papa?" He asked excitedly." Of course, he's my king." The oldest male purred, kissing his knuckles." And you're my world." Zach responded, leaning against his arm." And you...", the faux blonde started, covering Jonah's face and neck in kisses, the smaller giggling happily." Are my prince." He informed." I wanna be a princess, Daddy." He beamed, blue-gray eyes shining brightly. His father chuckled, before the small family left. Their child fell asleep on the ride home in his Papa's lap. He learned a valuable lesson that day causing him to smile in his sleep. Everyone fights, but only those who truly love one another can bounce back.
