My Thoughts on Big Plans

Yes, like every other person who writes about these five beautiful boys, I'm giving my opinion on their new single. Even though no one cares. So, first off, I love the song, I'm literally listening to it as I write this. The beat is incredible and so upbeat. The ending with Corbyn, Jack, and Daniel backing up Zach as he sings the chorus is my favorite part. The song may be amazing, but I do have one complaint about it. And that complaint is the fact that it's about a girl. Now, I understand that they're a boy band- my bad, man band- and as a man band they are expected to write love songs to females. And I love me a good deep, sincere love song, I really do, but I feel like that's this song's biggest downfall. I think it would have been equally as good and maybe even better if they had just made it about doing better for yourself rather than someone else. I enjoy the theme of improving because you want to, more than getting better for another human. That ideas been done to death and it's starting to get disturbing watching so many people beat a dead horse. What about their fans who don't have that special someone to get better for? It would be more relatable for the song to explain how learning that you need to change and making an effort to do exactly that is healthy. But that's just what I think and any hardcore Limelights can call me stupid and a 'fake fan' because I don't find everything the boys do to be flawless. Despite my grievance with the moral of the song it's still really, really good and definitely deserves all the attention it's getting. I wanna write a chapter based off of it soon, it won't be in the next rotation since I already have the Why Don't We for that written, so it'll  most likely be in the next go 'round. Anyway, thanks to whoever is reading this and I'll see you guys tomorrow.
