I snapped out of my self hating, dark thoughts by Chester, who pulled his note book from my hands.

"Mike! This is mine. You know it is." He said as he put it in his bag and closed the zipper of the bag.

I looked down in embarrassment "I'm sorry.." I whispered.

Chester sighed and mumbled "sorry doesn't fix what's broken.." Chester pulled his bag over his shoulder and walked out of the building, back to the bus with Joe, Brad and Rob.

I don't know why he said it, actually, I do. He said that because I broke him. And I tried to say sorry. And he's right, Just saying sorry won't fix his heart, it won't fix our relationship.

I sighed and stood up from the table. Dave patted my shoulder.

"Mike," he stopped "just... I'm here for you okay.".

I smiled at Dave, Dave's always been my best friend, my first friend too.

Flashback

My very first day at my new school, I was 6.

"Okay, sweetie, mommy's gotta go now."My mom said, hugging me and kissing my cheek. "Bye sweetie, love you."

I said goodbye and she left.

The teacher smiled at me, "hi Micheal. I'm Miss Clara. Would you like to say hi to your class?" A kind looking, smiling woman asked. I looked down, I knew I had to do it.. so I nodded, she smiled at me "Okay, come on, follow me."

We walked to the school board, across the board was a big round table surrounded with chairs, chairs filled with kids. A ginger haired kid smiled at me.

"Kids, we have a new student joining us today." Miss Clara spoke up.

"This is Micheal, He just moved here." She smiled. I was so happy she didn't make me say my own name..

"Micheal, you can sit next to Dave over there." She said, motioning a hand at the kid that smiled at me a moment ago.

I nodded and sat down next to him.

"Hi! My name is Dave!" Dave said, excited.

"Hi, I'm Mike." I answered.

Dave asked "wasn't it Micheal?"

"I like the name Mike more." I said.

Dave and I did everything together from that day, until Brad joined, then Joe, Then Rob.. each of them at different times.

Flashback end

"Earth to Mike." I heard Dave say.

Oh yeah... I totally zoned out..

We both went back to the bus.

Chester's PoV

Warning, very sad thoughts

sometimes I remember the darkness of my past, Mike would usually be the one to help me with that, but there's nothing I could do to distract me, Mike's not here.

And that's my fault.

If I'd just forgive him.. but I know I shouldn't! You fucking Shouldn't Chester! Fucking idiot! Why do you keep forgiving and forgiving?! Just because you'd have no one if you didn't. You'd be all alone. Maybe that's how you deserve to live, all alone. No one should care about you.

You are a disgusting disgrace. A pathetic excuse for a human.

I just wanted to make it stop. Make myself stop. Stop dragging me down. I cannot take this! I walked to my bunk, laid down and started crying. Everything that happened to me.. everything I let people do to me, because I was too weak to stop it. Everything shot back in my mind.
