For the past two days you had spent a very large amount of time in your room all by yourself, your father received an urgent call by one of his co-workers and was asked to attend to a meeting.
Your mother being busy with her own duties had been away as well... and your nanny was now watching over your baby sister, you just wished she was a bit older so the two of you could play. It was pretty lonely, you looked around your bedroom and smiled. It seemed boring now but you could bet you'd kill to come back here once school started again.
Your room seemed fancy but in truth most of the items were second handed, you and your family were forced to fix them all on your own and now they seemed like something a rich lady would obtain easily. You even had a small fountain but in truth... you only had it due to an accident, it took months until you and your father could fix it and in the end, turn it into what was today.
As proof of that there were plants spreading out from your wall and although it was a nice touch you had to use magic to make sure they didn't grow and cover the entire room. All in all you had a perfect room that was created by you and your family.
YOUR BEDROOM:
"(Name), dear!" Your nanny called out from the corridor.
"What is it?" You asked as you left your cozy bed and went outside.
"You have a guest dear, I think his name was... Tom?" She informed you and your blood froze... no, not him again!!! How was he here?!
"Does he know I'm here?" You asked and she nodded.
"He's waiting for you in the living room." She answered and you sighed, you moved downstairs and turned towards the living room, as you entered you saw him looking outside the window and you had the unexplainable urge to hex him, you looked around aware that he wouldn't steal anything but hoping he also didn't leave anything on purpose.
THE LIVING ROOM:
After confirming that everything was fine you cleared your throat and Tom looked at you with a smile.
"Good evening." He greeted and you frowned.
"Good evening." You responded clearly displeased at his presence, he ignored it and spoke up.
"I have to admit this place is magnificent. it seems quite old yet it has a majestic touch to it." He commented with a quick look around, his gaze landed on you again and your unchanged expression.
"How did you learn where I live?"
"I have my ways." He replied, with a quick glance behind you saw Olga bringing tea and pastries, you offered Tom a sit to keep formalities. Being arrogant and proud was one thing but keeping the appearances could be arranged from time to time and having good manners was something taught to you by your mother. Once Olga served you both she excused herself and left.
"Why are you here? I doubt you came here just to see the house." You growled and he smiled, he took a sip of his tea before answering.
"True, you see... I have recentely received news from my... friends." He mused and you raised an eyebrow, Tom had friends? Since when?
"I wont leave a comment on that so, please go on." You responded and he chuckled, sharp tongued as always.
"See, since I don't have a family I don't have where to spend the holidays. I would like you to persuade your parents to let me stay here for a while."
"What?! Why on earth would I ever ask my parents that?!" You screeched and he smiled.
"Because if you do that, I'll stop coming after you. I promise that I will not bother you again until we graduate. Everything will go back to the way they were."
"And why should I trust you?"
"I believe I have proved that I keep my word. I said I could make your life a living hell and I did."
"Indeed... very well then, I will speak to my parents... I just hope that you wont get us into trouble."
"Trust me (Name), that is the only thing I want to avoid right now." He replied and you seriously doubted that was the case.
You suddenly stood up and went to speak to Olga about it, she agreed to speak to your parents about it and prepare a room for Tom to spend the night.
You already knew they'd say yes, Tom was an orphan, he was your classmate and well... this time of year many people showed kindness and acceptance, your parents were no different. You went ahead and helped Olga with the whole process of cleaning the room and making sure there wouldn't be any unpleasant surprises during the night.
After one last glance you smiled at the result, Tom was going to stay in the room that had recently been renovated and looked a lot like the room of some nobleman, the bed was old but after a few spells your mother had made it good as new, the furniture were also second handed and repaired by you and your family. The only problem was that the window of the room had been broken and no one had the time to fix it yet...
THE BEDROOM:
You slowly moved downstairs and informed Tom that his room was ready, when he saw it he was suprised. You told him about the window and with one swing of his wand the window was fixed in an instant.
"Well then, I don't know if you're hungry but if that is the case we'll have dinner in ten minutes." You replied but he shook his head.
"No, thank you. Goodnight."
"Goodnight." You murmured and left, you instantly took an owl and had a letter delivered to Jenny's house. You begged her to come by with everyone else tomorrow morning, Tom's invasion was a very weird event and despite his reassuring words you didn't believe he wasn't going to get in trouble, after explaining everything in detail you had the owl fly into the night sky before locking yourself in your room, after some time you had Olga bring you your dinner in your room.
You knew that for the sake of escaping from him while being at school... you'd have to bear his presence in here for as long as he wished for it. Things were going to get tough for you while back home.
