You had been feeling weird, after that kiss you and Tom shared you couldn't stop thinking about him! Sure, he had kissed you before and you had been forced to bare his children but somehow... this was different, like you had just woken up from a very weird dream. It felt... liberating...
"Sister, are you sure you want to do this?" Kathrine asked and you nodded.
You had asked Dumbledore to let Alexander come home, you had told him exactly why and although he refused at first, you managed to convince him in the end. You couldn't blame the poor boy though.
"Yes, I have to do this... otherwise I will be in the middle of a new war." You responded in a low, tired tone.
"He's not going to be happy about this." She pointed out and you sighed.
"I know."
"He might try to leave."
"I know that as well."
"And you're still willing to risk it?"
"What other choice do I have? If things go on like this, more people might get hurt, at least if I do this, we might be able to avoid it."
The knock on the door ended your conversation as Kathrine left the dining room. Alexander entered the house looking pretty grim, the reason was clear. Right behind him, Voldemort was walking with his snake, Nagini. Alexander had Cleo with him but unlike Nagini, Cleo clearly despised Voldemort.
"Auntie, care to explain?" Alexander asked as he and his father entered the house.
"Your mother wanted you all to have dinner."
"He's not my family!" Alexander hissed and you cleared your throat as you entered the room.
"Alexander, please... this is important, I beg you..."
"Mom..... fine, however I am only doing this for you. I don't want to make you sad, I don't want you to suffer." He sighed and hugged you tightly, it was true, Alexander hated seeing you sad, he hated the idea that he could become a monster.
"I'll bring the triplets, they have already eaten but... surely they'd be happy to see their father and older brother." Kathrine interrupted as looked at Tom coldly, clearly not happy that the triplets seemed to treasure their father so much.
"Thank you sister, now let us move on to the table and our meal." You urged and led them back to the dining hall, you sat close to each other, Voldemort at the head of the table, you on his left and Alexander on his right. As it was expected the mood was dark and unwelcoming, your silent figures began eating when suddenly Alexander decided to at least try and get along with the dark lord.
"So... how is Bellatrix? Is she feeling okay?" He asked coldly and Voldemort looked at him surprised.
"I didn't think you'd care about her health."
"Wether I like it or not, a member of my family is growing inside her womb, I'd never wish for something bad to happen to an innocent child, even more so if it is related to me in any way." He stated and you smiled, Alexander loved his role as an older brother and took great care of his younger siblings, you suspected his feelings wouldn't change just because Bellatrix was the mother of the newest baby he'd be related to.
"She's well, she tends to get a bit sick in the morning but nothing to worry about." Tom replied, clearly not interested in the topic of Bellatrix and her well being.
"I have a question for you, Tom." Alexander continued in a much milder tone.
"What is it, my son?" He asked and Alexander flinched at that but continued.
