"Well this is awkward", Dream Mario said. The world around them began to distort colors blending with each out to match the amount of confusion in the room. "What's going on, why are there two Mario's", Luigi asked. "I'd like to know two", Mario asked. "Well it's rare, but it is possible for someone who is close to the person that's almost met their end to enter their dream world. Mario walked at tad close to Luigi and Luigi backed up. "What do you want Mario", Luigi said. "I just wanted to talk to you", Mario replied. Dream Mario stayed on the side observing the two.
"I've made up my mind Mario, I'm happy here, I've never felt so wanted before, everyone praising me as much as they do you-". Mario stayed silent his heart sunk deep within his chest. "-Its best that you leave and let me rest in peace, you won't stop me". Tears ran down Mario's face but he managed to smile from under it. "I'm not here to stop you", Mario said. Luigi looked confused, he expected his brother to try and win him over. "Listen, I've been a terrible brother to you, I've always gone to these parties for me without bringing you along, I've never given you praise for helping me, I've spied on you and worst...hit you", Mario choked out. Mario looked at his brother's eyes with his bloodshot ones. He could feel his heart almost tear out from his body from the constant pain. "It should be me lying on that table, not you". "I....I'm not going to stop you Luigi-", Mario said again,"- As your brother, I want you to be happy if you feel that...you'd rather pass away then so be it". "I'll miss you, and...he'll miss you too. But I feel terrible that I've been treating you badly, discarding your feeling all to make myself feel better. Those days when I was recovering from being thrown into a wall, I used you as an emotional punching bag, I've done nothing but use you". Mario felt like his chest was being crushed beneath a heavy boulder. Luigi looked back with a pale expression processing everything that was just said. The room around them formed back into the room they once were in. Mario turned around and walked out the house leaving dream Mario and Luigi behind. "So what are you going to do", Dream Mario asked. Luigi still lost for words started to shake a bit, his mind was cluttered with thoughts. "I know what to do".

Mario's eyes fluttered open from the beam of light entering the window in Luigi hospital room. Mario got up and quickly closed the curtains. Mario stood by the window thinking about the dream he just had. He hoped Luigi made a choice that made him happy. Mario turned around and his eyes widen. His heart warmed up and tears built up in his eyes. Luigi was awake and staring at his brother. Silence filled the room as Mario stared dead at his brother's eyes. Luigi though through so much pain smiled, "I...I decided that I'm happier here". Mario walked over to Luigi and fell to his knees. "Luigi-I", Mario choked out. Luigi gave Mario a soft hug as his brother cried into him. "It's ok".

Mario walked into The throne room where Peach sat reading while Toadsworth was writing. "Mario, hello", Peach said as she placed her book down and stood. "Luigi is awake", Mario said. Peach beamed from ear to ear, thank goodness, I'm so happy to know he's ok. Peach took a look at Mario's face and she knew instantly that something is wrong. "Is everything ok Mario", Peach asked. Mario stared at Toadsworth and back to Peach. "I demand Toadsworth is put under trial for treason", He said. Toadsworth shot Mario a glare. "Treason, watch your tongue, how dare you say that", Toadsworth said. Peach was confused," Huh Mario this is something very serious, why on earth would Toadsworth go against the kingdom. Mario walked near Toadsworth and stared back at Peach," He is the one who stole those military documents and framed Luigi". "I wouldn't do such thing, you're brother is as clear as guilty, he's in an illegal relationship with Bowser", Toadsworth yelled. "Mario Toadsworth is right, all the evidence I've seen points to Luigi, not only that it is illegal to be in a romantic relationship with someone who is from an enemy kingdom", Peach said. "Mario pulled out a tape recorder from his pocket and places it on a nearby table. "What is that", Toadsworth asked. Mario looked at Toadsworth and grinned," A confession, from yours truly". Mario played the tape and you heard Bowser's and Toadsworth's voice. Mario watched as Toadsworth's face began to turn pale. Peach listened closely as he heard all of Toadsworth's intentions. Mario watched as the air around peach turned cold. "Toadsworth...what's the meaning of this", She asked. "It was to protect you, princess, you're like a daughter to me", Toadsworth said in a panic. "You'd even go to the lengths to make one of my dearest friends commit suicide", she asked. Toadsworth fell silent, he knew his own intentions were bad. Peach called in the guards to take Toadsworth away," I'll speak with you briefly later". Toadsworth started cursing in Mario's name for what he's done to him, but Mario was quite pleased. Mario and Peach were left alone in the throne room as Peach felt lost. "Princess, I can understand if you need some time alone", Mario said. Peach gave off a faint smile," I'd like that please". Mario left Peach alone and embraced the winter weather. "It's time to pay 'him' a visit".
