Chapter 11: Unlikely Friendship

Luigi walked in his house and sighed. Mario was sitting in the kitchen and was dressed in his normal Blue overalls and red shirt. "Oh Mario what are you doing dressed up", Luigi asked. "Toadsworth wanted to see me for a check up, and the Princess called to see if I wanted to have dinner with her", he replied. "Did you and Toadsworth work something out ", Mario asked. Luigi nodded and he sat in the kitchen with him. "Its just stress that's all, he recommended going for a walk to clear my head before I sleep". Mario smiled as he got up from the table," I better get going, don't want to keep Toadsworth waiting". Luigi watched as Mario walked out the door and he was left alone. As Luigi sat he felt a set of eyes watching him. "Kamek", Luigi said. Kamek appeared in the seat that Mario was just and and smirked. "Ah you knew I was here keheh, well I think you should go and spy on Mario and Peach's Dinner", He said. "W-Why", Luigi asked. "To sabotage it and make Peach fall in love with Bowser once and for all", he said before laughing. Luigi stood up and yelled at Kamek. "No I won't do-". Kamek, wand in hand flicked his wrist and Luigi fell to the ground. Luigi wanted to scream in pain, but he couldn't make a sound.
It felt as if all his bones were being shattered. Kamek lifted the spell and Luigi gasped for air. "You will do as you're told", Kamek said before disappearing Luigi got up sobbing," I-Im sorry Mario".

Bowser was walking around the outskirts of Peaches castle. "Today will be the day Peach, you will love me". Bowser peaked through some bushes to see Mario and Peach having a romantic evening at a restaurant by the castle. He grumbled seeing them laugh it truly made his blood boil. Out of the corner of his eye he could see Luigi nearby. "Perfect", Bowser smirked. Luigi seemed to make eye contact with Bowser causing Luigi to become more nervous.

Luigi was able to easily walk in the restaurant since it was packed with people and it was outside. He made sure to wear unnoticeable clothing to blend in but regardless if he wore his regular green shirt and Blue overalls people will still not recognize him. Luigi watched as Mario walked up to a fountain to get a drink. Luigi quickly walked behind it, without him noticing and rigged the machine to splash juice on him. (I can't believe I'm doing this). As Mario turned the machine on juice splashed on his face. "Ehhh yuck", Mario said as he quickly grabbed a napkin to wipe his face. Mario irritated grabbed a bottle nearby and was starting to head back. Luigi looked back at Bowser as he saw his sinister smirk. Luigi gulped and picked up a bottle and rolled it across the floor. Mario soon slipped on the bottle crashing into another guest table hitting his head very hard and becoming covered in food. (Oh my god, what have I done). Mario had a quick glance by the table that Luigi was at and made direct eye contact with him. Luigi ducked really quick and at that moment he heard a few screams. Luigi peaked up and saw Bowser standing by peach.

"What do you want Bowser", Peach said. Bowser smiled brightly," To take you out to dinner like I promised". Bowser looked over at Mario as he ran in front of Peach and chuckled. "Look at him such a mess, how could you date such a slob", Bowser said laughing. "Well none of this was my fault", Mario said. As Mario said that he gave a quick glance over to Luigi, Luigi knew that he knew he was behind this. Bowser rolled his eyes,"Suuure". Bowser then shoved Mario out of the way to get close to peach. "Now Peach I wouldn't be this messy I'm very clean, and more handsome. He then proceeds to hold Peach's hand and place a kiss on the back. "What do you say Peach". In the blink of an eye Peach slaps Bowser across his face. Bowser looked very shocked and his body froze. "Bowser I'll never be with someone who kidnaps me and terrorize my kingdom. So for the last time, STAY away from me and Mario got it", Peach yelled. Luigi thought that Bowser was going to yell back, but he didn't. He quietly turned around and walked away. Peach helped Mario up," Well clean you up at the castle". As the both walk they both saw Luigi standing there. "M-mario", Luigi muttered. Mario glared at Luigi," I'll speak with you later". Luigi walked them both walk out and he started to tremble a bit. (Oh no...what have I done). Luigi knew that he was going to get an ear full when he got home and wasn't sure if he was ready for it. (I need to take a walk, hopefully Mario is sleep when I get home).

Luigi was walking through the woods near the castle. It was his goto spot for when he needed to relax and unwind from his stress. Whenever he'd get into an argument with mario he'd remember coming here since Mario could never find him and he could be truly alone. (What do I do...Mario is going to be very pissed at me). While on his walk Luigi began to hear faint sobs. (Huh...who's crying). Luigi walked carefully through bushes and branches to find the source of the crying. The crying seemed to get loud enough to where it sounded right next to him. He peaked out the bushes and was shocked to see it was Bowser. Luigi heard him mumble something under his breath, but it was audible enough for him to hear. "Why won't you love me...". Luigi felt some empathy towards him. peach was being a tad harsh with him. Luigi went to turn around to leave Bowser alone, but a spider was dangling on a web which scared him. The sudden scare caused Luigi to fall out the bush and in front of Bowser. "LUIGI!", Bowser yelled. "Oh ummm I should be going", Luigi said. "Wait", Bowser said causing Luigi to freeze. Bowser sat down on a rock staring at Luigi. "What did peach do after I left..", he asked. As much as Bowser tried to look menacing, Luigi could see in his eyes that he was hurting. "She left with Mario to help him get cleaned up, then Mario got upset with me", Luigi said. Bowser sighed and Luigi saw his eyes tearing up again. Luigi felt really bad for him so he decided to sit with him. "Why are you still here", Bowser said rubbing his eyes. "I don't know Peach seemed to have really hurt you. But...you look like you need someone to talk too.", Luigi said. Luigi was surprised at himself, he's holding a conversation with Bowser out of all people. "I also think you and me are going through the same thing", Luigi said. "Oh and what's that", Bowser said. "Heartbreak". "..so you and Daisy broke up or something", Bowser mumbled. Luigi nodded," We broke up a month ago, but it still hurts me today. But can I ask you something". Bowser raised a brow staring at Luigi. "Why do you love Peach so much", He asked. Bowser thought for a moment," I don't know...She's pretty,smart,talented, but.....". "But what", Luigi asked. "I-Im done with her". Luigi couldn't believe what he herd, Bowser no longer likes Peach anymore, as exciting as that it for the kingdom, its quite devastating for Bowser since he poured his soul out to her. "You're done with her?", Luigi replyed. Bowser turned to Luigi with tears in his eyes," I try every time and it never works, when we play Tennis, Go to the Damn Olympics and even when we went stupid Go Kart racing". He sighed and turned away. "I need to go", Bowser said. "I have to check on my castle". Bowser got up to walk away. Luigi never seen this side of Bowser, Luigi was curious to know more about him. (Is he really a bad guy like everyone says he is). Luigi built up courage to ask him another question. "Bowser!", Luigi said. Bowser turned around to look at him. "Could we talk again, I um had a nice time talking with you", Luigi said smiling. There was a moment of silence and Bowser smiled. "Sure, you...you can drop by my castle tomorrow if you'd like". Bowser took a few more steps and looked back again "Um sorry for threatening you a while ago". He then continued to walk away. When he was finally out of sight Luigi too a deep breath. Although he was easily talking to Bowser, he was still a tad intimidated. (I should get home, I want Mario's yelling to be done and over with).
