You'll Be Okay Jason x Reader

Jason's pov

It's been years since the Joker killed me but, I can still hear his laughter. I hear it everyday. I still haven't told (Y/N) because I don't want her to worry. Plus, I'm not a child, I can take care of my own problems.

One night I arrived home late from patrol. I quietly got changed and crawled into bed. I looked over and to my right, lay a sleeping (Y/N). She breathed peacefully and had the covers pulled up to her ribs. I smiled and planted a kiss on her cheek. I got comfortable and placed my arm over her and fell into a deep sleep.

In my dream there was an earthquake. It shook and kept shaking and soon I was shaking with it. I slowly woke up. Okay. Phew. No earthquake, but then why am I shaking? Then I realized it wasn't me shaking, it was someone next to me. I turned and saw my boyfriend Jason.

He was vibrating and sweat droplets beaded his forehead. I untangled myself from his arms and sat up.

"Jason?" I whispered, nudging him. "Jason!" I nudged him harder. "Jason! Wake up!" He sat up in bed, his breathing was harsh. I pulled him into a hug. "Jason, please tell me what's going on!" I pleaded. He squeezed me.

"I'm sorry (Y/N)" he answered after a minute.

"You have nothing to be sorry for, Jaybird. Now, tell me what's wrong!" I assured him. He sighed and pulled back.

"You remember how I told you I was killed by the Joker, correct?" He asked me, glancing up. I nodded. "I-i," he took a shaky breath in, running his fingers through his hair. "I keep hearing his laughter." I gave him a sad smile.

"Jason..." I said hugging him. "He better not lay a finger on you, not on my watch he won't." He chuckled and buried his face in the crook of my neck. He let out a sigh. "You'll be okay."

Poor Jaybird! Joker I'm coming for you! I mean, whaaaaaaaaat???
