Did She Just Speak? Damian x Reader

A/N Reader is mute.

Damian's pov

"Ahuuggg!" I cried out. My eyes shot open at the feeling of pain. Pennyworth looked at me sheepishly.

"I'm sorry Master Damian, but I needed to set your leg." He said, gently placing my leg on the infirmary bed I lay on.

I groaned again. Grayson leaned over the bed and gave me a hug. Todd did so as well, although it was very quick. Drake just nodded and smiled in my direction. I heard metal against metal and turned to see (Y/N) sharpening her daggers. She and I glared at each other.

My 'brothers' left the room and soon it was just me and (Y/N). I sighed and turned so I wasn't facing her. My eyelids drifted closed and soon I fell asleep.

~Damian's Nightmare~

"Too late little bird." DeathStroke sneered. I screamed when I saw
(Y/N)'s limp body, laying on the floor. I ran over to her. Her eyes were closed and her skin was pale and cold. She was beaten up and her breathing was barely there.

"Please (Y/N)!" You need to stay with me!" I cried.

"I'm sorry Damian-" she coughed up blood mixed with spit. "I'm so sorry." Did she just speak? She fell limp and then I knew.

I had lost her.

~End Of Nightmare~

I shot up in bed panting. I lifted a hand to my face and felt tear trails. Fresh ones ran down my cheeks and wouldn't stop. I silently cried into my knees. I felt a pair of arms wrap around me. I looked up and my green eyes met
(Y/N)'s (Y/E/C) ones. She smiled at me and planted a kiss on my cheek. Smiling I turned to her. I leaned onto her and buried my face in the crook of her neck. She nuzzled her face into my hair and we stayed there.

She pulled away and got up to leave. I grabbed her wrist. "Please stay." I begged quietly. She smiled. I laid down on the bed and she laid beside me.

I reached my arm around her waist and pulled her in so her head rested in my chest. I let a few tears drop off my face. She shifted a bit and wiped away some of my tears. I leaned my face towards hers so our noses touched. She gave me a small grin before shutting her eyes. I did the same. My eyes fluttered open at the sound of a voice.

"Love you Dami."

Did she just speak?
