Do your duty

Alice leapt up to try and catch the netball but missed. She frowned and told herself off mentally.
"Alice" her friend Vera said "you okay? First you miss practice three times and now you're missing the ball"

"I'm just a little tired today" Vera gazed at her friend worriedly.

"You sure? You look kinda pale"

"I've been busy and haven't gotten very much sleep the last few days. It's nothing that big" Alice looked away slightly.
Power ranger life can be like that sometimes.

"Well get some sleep A, we have the finals coming up in a couple of days and we need our captain at her best"

"Yeah, will do" Vera passed her a chocolate

"Until then this should keep you going for the next half hour"

"Thanks" Alice heard the quiet beeping of her morpher and frowned.

"Your phone again?"

"Uh...yeah...it's probably important"
"Well go check"

Alice picked up her morpher and rounded the corner.
"Go for Alice. What's up?"

"Hey Josh here, we need a hand down at the shopping mall. Oretrons have come and started attacking again"

"Oh, jeez. Vera's gonna kill me. Kay, be there in five"

"See you then, I will be waiting impatiently" Josh joked Alice sighed.

"Shut up jokester" she put her morpher away and looked to Vera.

"Hey, sorry. It's-"

"Important? Yeah, go on I understand practice is almost over anyway. Just try not to miss anymore. We really need to be ready" Alice nodded

"I'll try" she grabbed her bag and walked down the empty school corridor. She quickly stuffed her things into her locker and pulled out her amethyst star "No one around...kay"

"It's morphin' time! Amethyst Star! Lock and load! Ranger might! Jewelite!"

~ MORPHING SEQUENCE ~

Alice took a stance as her Morpher took up residence on her wrist.
Purple circled around her until she was dressed entirely in her ranger suit.

Her gem's shape appeared on her chest and a second purple light circled her this time it was the head of Amethyst eagle Zord which flew up to the sky and crashed down on her forming her helmet.

Alice quickly made her way to her friends.
"You guys okay?" Wolf nodded

"Yeah, glad you're here though" Carter laughed as he swung his sword around knocking down a few of the foot soldiers.'

"He's just glad because we look weird without our 5th member"

"That's not true!" Wolf cried "We look weird anyway I can count on one hand the amount of teams who've had purple rangers" Alice pulled out her blaster and looked at the red ranger.

"Is that supposed to be an insult?"

"No. Just purple isn't common"

Josh smirked behind his helmet and bowed towards the purple ranger.

"Well I think purple suits our team, isn't that right?"

"Less flirting, more fighting Joshua. I have to get this over with I keep missing practices"

Alice sighed as she walked down the street next to Ngadria.
"I'm sure Vera won't mind" Alice actually scoffed at that.
