"Got ya!" Josh shouted happily, rapidly pressing buttons on his controller "Take my special beam cannon right in the face!"

The person on the other end of the match groaned, Josh snickered hearing the groan in his headphones.

"Josh, dude, chill out. You're making my ears bleed with your yelling"

"Not my fault that Piccolo is totally kicking your butt Jacob!"

Jacob's chuckle made Josh smile. The green ranger had done his best to help their newest member feel at home in the team and after the silver ranger pushed him to finally confess his feelings to Alice...well, Josh felt like he owed Jacob.

Besides...

"Damn it!" He shouted as a Masenko ended the match.

"Told you, Gohan is the best character. Hands down, no arguments" Jacob's smug voice echoed on the voice call. Josh had grown to think of Jacob has his best friend on the team, heck, probably his best friend full stop.

Josh smiled, staying on the character selection menu for a second as he paused to munch on a sandwich. At the same time he checked his watch.
"Nope. Piccolo." His eyes lit up excitedly "Oh, Hell yeah, Wolf'll be out of his class soon. Finally we can have a rematch"

"Nice, I'll spectate. Lets see if Bardock really is better than Piccolo" Jacob replies "Can't stay long though, I promised I'd help clean up around the house today"

"Sure, but Piccolo will be better, one hundred percent"

He heard Jacob hum an 'uh huh' on the other end.
"Sure he will" the silver ranger responds, there was a hint of distraction in his voice. The green ranger raised an eyebrow, he paused thoughtful before he spoke up.

"You okay Jacob?" he asked, adjusting his headphones as he leaned back at the edge of his couch.

"What...? Yeah of course I am"

"Just sound distracted is all"

"Eh, still thinking about what Jen said...she warned us about coming days and Serpenta told us 'seven days' back when we helped Justin...its just...what exactly is coming?"

Josh hummed in thought.
"I mean, the first thing I think of is Scaro, he's supposed to be Serpenta's father based on what Nira told us. I wouldn't be worried, the six of us have this under control"

"Take this seriously Josh. I feel like Scaro is a bigger threat than you think"

"Fair enough" Josh replies, eventually he yawns "Okay, lets go again! One more match!"

"Somebody must really like losing" Jacob says with a chuckle.

"Oh, yeah, keep talking Silver! I'm gonna wipe that smile off of your face"

"How do you even know I'm smiling?"

"I...I...just...I just do! Now less talking, more fighting

"Whatever Josh, you're on"

"Ross, get up! Its like two in the afternoon!" Adam called from downstairs "I know you're not going to school right now but that doesn't mean you should be sleeping all day!"

He smiles as he hears the door open and a loud groan following it. He turns his attention back to washing dishes as Ross comes downstairs.
"Dad...can't I just sleep in?"
