It was about ten in the morning; Ross was currently running a brush through his hair. Just to make it look respectable. Adam gently pushed the slight ajar bathroom door open, leaning against the frame with a raised eyebrow.

"Where are you off to today Kiddo?"

Ross puts the brush down and smiles at his dad, putting his hoop earring in. He'd gotten one ear pierced two or three years ago, mostly cause his dad had his ear pierced when he was younger and...even if Ross loved saying his father was the most boring guy in existence (you know before he learnt about the Power Ranger thing) he always thought his dad was pretty awesome.

So, something as simple as that made Ross feel just the slightest bit cooler.

"Eh, I thought I'd head to the mall. I'm craving smoothies"

"The mall again? I can make smoothies you know" Adam joked, walking over to ruffle his son's hair.

Ross waved his arms quickly.

"Ack! Dad, I just brushed my hair don't mess it up again!"

"Oh, vanity"

"I just don't want my curls all over the place because its irritating, that's not being vain!"

"Ross, that's the price you pay for having curls"

"Its not my fault!" Ross bit back, gently pushing his father "I get it from you"

"Yeah" Adam laughed "Well, if you hate them getting in the way never let your hair grow out...and maybe use your bandanna to keep it out of your face if it's that bad"

Ross rolled his eyes.

"Dad, I'm not sure the bandanna look works nowadays"

Adam faked an offended expression.

"Aw, come on, I pull it off pretty well!"

Ross stared at his dad then broke out into laughter, he couldn't pretend his dad wasn't right without laughing.

"Okay, Okay, yeah you can pull it off" Ross adjusts the bandanna around his neck "I just prefer my bandanna here..."

"Okay, if you like it like that" Adam brushes a loose curl out of his son's face then tilts his head slight, a knowing expression on his face "Is there another reason you've been slipping off to the mall a lot?"

Ross looked away, his demeanour changing instantly. Adam leaned down slightly, looking a little concerned.

"You okay Ross?"

"Yeah...I just...I miss the Surf Spot..." He muttered, "I miss...I miss Angel Grove..."

Adam gently patted his son on the back.

"Home Sick?"

"Yeah..." then he shakes his head "But its fine, really. You need to be here; the Power Rangers need you...I get that."

"You know, if you really miss Angel Grove, I can drive you back. It wouldn't be a problem"

Ross chuckles, shaking his head again then looking his dad in the eyes.

"Nah Dad, that's okay. I miss Angel Grove, but I like being here with you. If you drove me home, I'd just spend the whole time missing you"

Adam smiled softly, his heart melting at that comment.

"Yeah, I agree. I always miss you guys when I'm not home. It's hard to be away from you and your mum"

"Maybe...one day you'll finally hang up that helmet for good?" Ross suggested.
