"You know, you didn't have to be so violent with him Marco"
The red ranger groans loudly, phone held carefully between his chin and shoulder as he spoke, while doing some schoolwork on his laptop. The clock said 1:00am. He really should be sleeping, but he just couldn't with everything happening lately and apparently Carter had felt the same way.
"Yeah, yeah. I know. I'll apologise to him about it tomorrow. But what else do I do Carter?" he asked "I have to make tough decisions right? That's what a leader has to do sometimes...I feel bad but if Josh holding back, or worse, stopping us from fighting Jacob gets someone hurt...I'll never forgive myself. We have to put the city first"
"I wouldn't be surprised if this contention is part of Serpenta's plan"
"True...hopefully Josh sees reason soon" He paused for a moment, grabbing the phone to glance at his door and listen, good his mother was still asleep. To be careful Wolf lowered his voice to a low whisper "...Still, I feel bad for how I acted...I'm not lying, I will apologise to him I promise"
"Good, sounds like a plan red. For now, though, it's about time we both head to bed"
"Right catch you tomorrow"
"see ya"

"Jacob...? Are you alright dear? You've barely eaten this morning"
The silver ranger was eating breakfast early the next morning, or rather, he was sitting at the table twirling his spoon around in what looked to be a bowl of Fruit Loops.
"I'm fine mum" he replies emptily.
"But that's your favourite cereal and everything, hm...do you feel okay? You're not sick, are you?"
"I said I'm fine mum" he replies again "just not hungry this morning"
She tilts her head in worry, her son has been acting extremely strange for a few months now but since he got home last night its been worse than ever. He doesn't even feel like Jacob anymore and simply can't place why.
Soon enough Jacob stands up and lifelessly takes his bowl to the kitchen before walking back past his mum and picking up his school bag.
"I should be going; I have to catch the bus to school""O-Oh, alright. Stay safe sweetheart, have a good day"
Jacob doesn't respond he just leaves the house. She stares after him in worry, no 'bye mum' or 'love you' or 'see you afterschool' not even a wink or any sort of goodbye gesture. Just...pure silence. She folds her arms worriedly.
"Why is he acting this way? Perhaps he had an argument with one of his friends?" His mother simply couldn't place what was wrong, maybe his father would know but she'd have to wait till he got home tonight to ask...--------------------------------
Serpenta walked over to the hourglass, inspecting it closely. Its sand had almost run out and there were small cracks starting to form in it. The mist that coated most of her corrupted realm had started to thicken. She could sense it, it was soon. Soon her father would awaken, soon enough the Power Rangers would have a far bigger threat to deal with and it was perfect timing too.
She chuckled to herself, grabbing her staff.
"This is perfect, father will awaken soon and he'll awaken to find the legendary silver warrior under my control!" she smirked, twirling her staff "well, perhaps not legendary, certainly this teenager is nothing like his predecessor in skill. Even if he's...eerily similar in other ways..."She couldn't help but compare the two. If it wasn't for the skill difference, she would've almost sworn that Jacob was the same person as the silver warrior from her time. Now that she thought about it, that was why Lilian helped him in the first place. Serpenta sighs, never mind all that now, she has better things to think about. Like how she was going to surprise the rangers, they were certainly quick on their feet so simply attacking wouldn't work and without the Onyx there was no way to summon the Rhino Zord for the Great Silver Megazord so she couldn't up her warrior's destructive powers that way...
