Jaime Faith's POV

Napakunot ang aking noo nang may narinig akong mga hagikhikan mula sa ibaba. Dahan-dahan akong naglakad patungo sa may hagdanan at sinilip kung sino ang Tao sa ibaba, tulog pa kase ang mga pinsan ko, same with lola. Jet-lag maybe.

Napatigil ako sa aking kinatatayuan. Napatulala at nanlaki ang mata.

"What are you doing here?" Hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala sa aking nakikita.

To greet my girlfriend good morning?
I don't know what to do. Nakaramdam siguro si mom at dad na kailangan namin ng privacy kaya umalis muna sila.

I can feel the heat on my cheeks. I'm sure it turned red.

Uhm.. I don't know what to say. Nauubusan ako ng salita.

Sorry if I shocked you. He said and held my cheeks. Still I'm out of words.

Naupo muna kami sa couch.

He's chuckling.

Hey what's funny? I asked.

Your face is priceless luv. He laughed and pinched my cheeks.

Hey! Pinalo ko yung kamay niya.

Okay okay, sorry. I'm just excited to tell everyone that we're together again, so sinabi ko na kina Tito and Tita. He said while smiling.

Napangiti din ako. He always make  solutions for my problems kahit hindi ko pa nasasabi kung anong problema ko. He's so perfect for me? I think? But am I perfect on him?

Thank you. I said as I pinched his nose.

For what? He asked. Confused.

For everything. I said. I laid my head on his shoulder. Agad naman niya akong inakbayan.

Thank you for always being there. For always trusting me. For being my knight in shining armor. For making me happy. For everything that you've done to me.  I smile widely and look on his eyes.

Don't be cheesy luv. He said and he laugh out loud.

I'm just trying to be one. I said at hindi ko na rin napigilang matawa sa pinaggagawa ko.

Okay, uhm can you come with me? He asked.

Okay but I'll fix my self first and magpapa-alam na din ako kina mom and dad. I said and tumayo na.

No need to ask Tito and Tita naipag-paalam na Kita. He said and ginulo ang buhok ko.

Yahh. Magulo na nga ang buhok ko ginulo pa. Tinawanan lang ako ng loko.

Just be quick. Baka ma-miss mo ko agad. He said and winked.

Yahh. Just go to the garden! Or just chitchat with mom,dad! Or do whatever you wanted to! I said and I hurriedly run, going to my room.

I can hear his laughter. Tss. But I missed him a lot. Wala sa sariling napangiti ako habang kumukuha ng damit na susuotin.

I wore a peach Sunday dress paired with white sneakers. I let my hair slid down on my back. I'll only bring my wallet and cellphone. Hindi ko naman Alam kung Saan kami pupunta eh.

While I'm going downstairs, I can hear laughters, again. Out of curiosity, sumilip ako at... WHAT THE HECK?!

What the?! Nicholo is laughing with my grandma and cousins?!

I'm shocked. I'm scared. I'm nervous. Maybe because it's our tradition na kapag pinakilala mo na ang karelasyon mo sa relatives, cousins; Grandparents, it's symbolizes being ready to have a family,to be married.

Hey! J! I don't know what to do for the nth time. Kung ngingiti? Tatawa? Lalapit?

Hindi pa ako nakakalapit, naramdaman ko na ang mga pinong kurot nina ate. Kaya naman Panay ang iwas ko, hindi ko pa naman tapos iwasan ang mga kurot at paimpit na tili nila, may naghead-lock na sakin at kiniliti ako.

Yahh! Kuyaaaa! Ateeeee! I'm going somewhere?! Okay?! Bitaw! Im going now! They stopped. Pero maririnig mo pa rin ang mga tawa nilang nakakainis talaga.

I fixed my self at agad na lumapit ka grandma. Good morning po. I kissed her cheeks . She smiled and greeted me back.

Jaime. My grandma's authoritative voice makes me pale. Umupo ako sa tabi ni Nicholo. I can see no reaction on his face.

Po? I asked habang nagta-tap yung daliri ko sa lap ko. My mannerism every time I'm nervous.

I don't like him to be your boyfriend. Bigla akong nanlumo. Lahat kami na gulat ,hindi alam kung anong sasabihin.

I'm teary eyed, that's a fact.

Napatungo na lang ako. I can feel gazes.

Because, napatunghay ako at napatingin Kay lola. Inaabangan kung anong sasabihin niya. All of us are looking on lola. Waiting,

I want him to be your husband. 

Po?!  I'm shocked. All of us are shocked. Except for lola and Nicholo??? Lola just smiled at nagpahatid na papuntang garden sa mga pinsan ko. They bid goodbye and I sheepishly smiled. Kami na lang ni Nicholo ang nasa living room.

I shift my gaze on Nicholo. He's grinning from ear to ear.

It seems like, you're not nervous? Nor shocked? Scared? I confusedly asked him.

He just laugh, reason for me to walk out. I don't have long patience you know.

Hey! Luv! Wait! He shouted. I'm not listening. I'm rolling my eyes as I March going on his car at padabog na isinara ang pinto.

I'm just pissed but I'm not angry. Naramdaman kong nasa loob na din siya ng kotse kaya naglakas loob ulit akong magtanong.

So bakit nga? Please answer my goddamn question. Curiosity kills. Do you want me to die? I asked. I'm a drama queen today.

Don't say that word again. Don't say bad words again. He said. I know he's referring to 'die'.

I'm not moving nor shifting my gaze on him.

Okay okay. I lose. He knew how high my pride is.

Napalingon ako sa kaniya all of a sudden.

It's just that.. uhm.. how will I say that?  Uhm... it's just I'm confident that I suite you well? He said while not looking at me.

I burst out of laughing.

Ugh. Where did you get that super duper high confidence?! I almost shouted while laughing.

Namumula na siya kaya lalo akong tumawa. Bigla na lang siyang may sinabi dahilan kung bakit ako naman ang mamula.

I get that on you. Napaiwas na lang ako ng tingin at napasabing, let's go.
