It all depends on their mood. And what they're doing. Some can concentrate better with low-fi music in the background. Some - and Raph mainly - love white noise. Either rain, thunderstorms or heaters. They all sleep with heaters on and are used to it. Also, they live in New York, a city that never sleeps and being in complete silence would just feel wrong. Even Leo has some background music while meditating.
