Given the fact that the boys didn't really communicate with the outside world before they met you (they did go on patrol and such but actually sitting on a rooftop, cuddling with a human and listening to music? nope) they were always eager to learn or listen to something new. Lana's music is very deep, melancholic and sometimes just dark. Some of her songs were really popular in the past so they might have heard them already. At first they might not like the style. It's simply nothing they're used to. But if they'd just lay there and listen closely to the lyrics they might find themselves in them. If a song really hits home you'd find them listen to it quite often, but especially if they're sad already and want to get even sadder. For them (and a bunch of other people) it's a way of coping with things. But that doesn't mean that they're an emotional mess all the time, just a few minutes or an hour and then they're back to normal. If they don't have any feelings about the songs, they would still listen to them because you liked the music.
