Donnie doesn't get angry easily but if he does ... you better run. Was he angry at you for not realizing how much he struggled? Maybe. Angry at himself for being such a dork? Yes. Angry at his brothers for always messing everything up? Hell yes. Did Mikey really have to walk in to get some food when he clearly saw you and Donnie having a moment? Did Leo really have to call for training? And why did Raph hang out with you, when Donnie wanted to confess? He was annoyed at everyone. When he finally had the courage to walk up to you, he forgot what he wanted to say.
It surprised him that his brothers wanted to help all of a sudden. Weren't they the reason it didn't work out in the first place? However, it didn't work either. Not with a well thought plan that Leo set up. Not with a smooth flirt that Raph suggested. And sure as hell not with being "open" and "loud" like Mikey. Heck, they even set up a romantic spot for the two of you and guess what? The food was burnt, the laptop didn't work - aka no music - and you didn't even show up. Granted you had an appointment but still. Mikey even suggested to bring you a few cupcakes but on the way there Donnie tripped over his own feet. His brothers started to spent more time with you than Donnie, just to get to know what you like and what kind of plans they could work out.
He was actually at the point of giving up but luckily you had a crush on him too and confessed once and for all. Homeboy was close to crying tears of joy.
