Oh God, you just know all of this will be a mess once they start planning everything. Leo would want it to be perfect, Mikey would want to chose the food (and he will bring up pizza, no matter how inappropriate that might be also, candy), Raph is hard to convince about anything really and Donnie probably wants some fireworks as well.
"We need a plan okay?", Leo said once he had enough of this bickering.
"You don't say?!", Raph gave back, "y'all acting like you never had a party before"
"We never had a party, Raph", Mikey replied.
Leo scuffed and grabbed a piece of paper to write some ideas down. Of course they wanted to make your party as perfect as it can be, all possible worst cases planned out as well. Although Leo is a perfectionist he might settle with something that's only "almost perfect". The atmosphere and over all mood should be good and you should enjoy it, that's all that matters. Forget about the food (definitely not self-made Mikey!) and everything else. It should please you and not the boys.
They knew you a while now but you only became friends about 2 months ago when shit hit the fan and you were there for them when no one else was. They didn't really know what you liked or loved but went for the safest things: flowers, chocolate and - to everyone's surprise - a self knitted blanket.
"What? It's cold outside and a blanket is something everyone needs once in a while", Raph gave back.
His brothers were happy that he finally contributed something at least. Also, it was very thoughtful of him and it might have helped to take off some tension.
When the day came, they were nervous as hell. Granted, training went well but you could just tell they were all focused on other things. Even Leo had his head in the clouds. It's not every day that they planned a party, especially not for someone they barely knew. Donnie probably went to the toilet about 6 times in an hour. They were nervous. Probably more than you.
The evening was surprisingly nice. Very laid back with a lot of laughter. Even Splinter came out of his room to congratulate you. They boys were happy that you liked everything but sure as hell weren't volunteering to throw party in the next 6 months.
