Usually, Leo was a pretty light sleeper. Even the smallest noise woke him up - thanks to being a ninja. He needed to be ready whenever anything happens and be up within seconds. Mikey could probably sleep through an attack, Leo couldn't. But ever since you had your baby girl he slept like a rock. Taking care of a small child is exhausting as hell, no matter how much stamina you have. Both of you were happy to finally lay in bed at night and have her sleep for at least an hour or two.
He woke up in the middle of the night, noticing that you weren't next to him. He was confused at first, usually he would hear or at least feel you get out of bed. That much movement could rarely go unnoticed. Given the fact he had no idea where you were or how long you've been gone he decided to get up as well. Not without moaning a little - sore muscles and all. Maybe it was the lack of sleep, maybe he was just getting old.
Leo first checked the bathroom to see whether you were there and once he didn't find you he walked toward the nursery. Nursery might have been a stretch, it was basically a spare bedroom where only the essentials fit in. Not that he was going to complain, finding rooms in a sewers or building them was hard enough. He was thankful for all the help he got from his family.
You didn't fully close the door and thanks to the night lights he could see your dark silhouette in the middle of the room. You were either rocking your baby or feeding it, he wasn't sure.
"Hush little baby don't say a word", you started and were interrupted by a big yawn, "mama's going to buy you a mockingbird."
Leo smiled at how cute and tired you were. Your baby girl didn't seem fuzzy at all which is why you placed her back into her crib. It was then when you felt someone was watching you and were relieved to see it was your boyfriend.
"You're adorable", he whispered and hugged you from behind, squeezing you a little and getting a better look at your child.
"I'd be more adorable with more sleep", you whispered back and giggled.
"Next time she wakes up, I'm on duty", he replied and kissed your head.
"Good, I'll take your word for it", you smiled and pulled him with you, gently closing the door behind you.
