The boys know how it feels to be self conscious. They're giant, mutated turtles after all. But they never had to deal with "human" things. Like pimples, acne, rosacea and more (lucky bastards). When you met them for the first time and you became a couple they didn't really think much of it. Mikey for example loved your colorful eyeshadows, so much that he didn't even notice all the foundation and concealer you had on. And while Leo is very attentive, he'd rather look into your eyes than your scars or dark under eye circles. They would have never confronted you if they wouldn't have walk in on you while putting it on. It all started with a text saying they would come over and you should keep the window open. Little did you know they'd be there in 5 minutes. You were about to put the second layer of concealer on (the "brightening phase" as you later explained your boyfriend) and they didn't fully get it. When you told them, they immediately said that they'd love you no matter what. Granted, those words are nice and sweet but don't do much for your self confidence. The boys wouldn't push you to never ever wear make up again, wear as much as you like, but just know that if you ever feel like it, they'd also enjoy your bare face.
