Tattoo AU Notes

I think every other day on this Discord server we come up with a new very complicated AU XD

Literally how this AU came to be and escalated over the course of half an hour:

Hollie was also a part in this but there wasn't a message that made any sense to this from her sooooo

Also lowkey want to make this an original story but I don't have time so it's just gonna chill here for now lol

Updated version- Mumbo has a slight addition to his power - explanations of how most people got their power, but that can change - much of the backstory/beginning has been fleshed out and altered slightly to have things make more sense. New updated version- @idontlikepinapples gave a REALLY COOL idea for Grian's power, which goes along something I had thought about, so yeah I'm adding that.

Basically what this AU is
-the ORIGIN is the source of everyone's powers. No one knows what it really is or how it came to be, a few days into S6 everyone just woke up with strange tattoos and a couple of people automatically woke up very confused with their powers . Dunno if it will actually play an active role in anything, but it's the, well, origin of this AU
-Everyone has a tattoo that they unlock but doing something that gives them a special power
-having more than the magic tattoo is frowned upon, although there are exceptions

Hermit- tattoo, power, activation, other
Grian- wing tattoo on one wrist and the EVO symbol on the other, both tattoos the color of his hair and very hard to see against his skin, flight from the wing and spectator-mode like abilities from the Watcher symbol, unlocked flight by his by falling off his tower and the EVO one randomly appeared one day, doubted for a while if he had power, shook by his ability to place bedrock from EVO and has to keep the second one a secret. He is NOT the Pickler!
Iskall- his Iskallium emote on his Discord, radioactivity/nuclear stuff, activation unknown
Doc- creeper face, blast powers (original example was Bakugo from MHA/BNHA but I was thinking more Iron Man lol), creating the creeper cannon from the war? Or maybe just fighting creeper and he accidentally blows up some creepers without blowing himself up?
Mumbo- red power button, red lighting and placing redstone on walls/ceiling but literally everyone thought something was going to be spoon-related, just doing some crazy redstone
Jevin- slimeball, is gelatinous and can morph his form, woke up a slime man
Scar- a wooden axe, now with a Vex face over it, was able to use WorldEdit commands, but when he joined the ConVex that power was stolen from him. He now has lots of tattoos of his landscapes to hide his actual one and his scars. Now is still able to terraform but no WorldEdit, and his Vex power is unknown because whenever he uses it he gets more scars
Cub- a healing potion, now an instant damage with a Vex face over it, was able to heal but when he joined the ConVex and that power was changed to destruction
Stress-snowflake, Elsa powers aka ice manipulation, mining ice in her iceberg palace
Xisuma- his and Ex's mask, half and half, was able to use Admin powers but EX stole his power, trying to update the server from 1.13 to 1.13.2
Evil Xisuma- the opposite of X's tattoo, now has the Admin (now "hacker") powers, did not have powers nor tattoo originally, stole them
Wels- a dragon, can change into a dragon, tbh he probably just did something random and was suddenly a dragon
Impulse- fire charge, can turn into a ghast, building the ghast canon during the war
Ren- howling wolf, is a werewolf, woke up a werewolf
Tango- pentagram/evoking array, is a demon, woke up a demon
Cleo- flower, nature powers, activation unknown
False- a gear, can summon a steampunk style multi tool that somehow is all tools/weapons in one, activation unknown
Zed- torch, his hair glows like Rapunzel's from Tangled but doesn't heal, in a dark cave without torches and suddenly his hair starts glowing?
Biffa- lots of robotics/circuit tattoos, even on his non-robotic parts. People don't really like that he has more than the one tattoo but because it all matches his special one and it's a design thing he doesn't get too much beef for it, Power unknown, activation unknown
Joe: book and quill, super speed for how fast he can talk, activation unknown
The Jingler and/or the HRN Ghost, if they are not a named hermit: the old invisibility effect icon, not the mirror, invisibility. If they turn out to be a listed hermit, then said hermit has two tattoos and hid the second one from everyone else. NOT Grian, as he's been visited by them before.

Vague Backstories/Plot Lines
-ORIGIN happens within the first few days of S6, all the hermits wake up with a weird feeling and their tattoo, Jevin wakes up as a slime man, Ren a werewolf, Tango a demon, MAYBE Doc, if you say his creeper parts comes from this?
-also this means yes, they were likely human before this. Doc might be an exception
-pretty quickly some people start discovering their powers by doing things, not everyone

-EX uses his connection to X to bypass the whitelist and join the server
-is immediately jealous of X's Admin powers and wants them for himself, so he steals them
-EX used his new "hacker" powers to create the Vex, and then tricked Scar and Cub into giving up their powers by blackmailing the other hermits in secret
-threatens to perma-kill everyone on the server just because he can?
-the other hermits do not know of this threat against them and think that Scar and Cub joined (the Vex and therefore EX) willingly, and they are then shunned by most of the other hermits
-Everyone knew of the EX incident, Xisuma has just been going about his life without his powers since they had survived without them before
-still an underlying worry that EX will do something bad with the Admin powers

-Grian joins the server and is surprised by the tattoos and wonders if he just didn't know about them
-the hermits assume that the ORIGIN is remains from the last season and doubt if Grian will get any powers

-the ConVex were forced to give their original powers (original: sell their souls) to the Vex and can no longer use their original powers without hurting themselves. Scar learned this the hard way when he tried to use his old powers and gained actual scars all over his body
-when the Cub and Scar gave up their powers, the ORIGIN favored them for their sacrifice and made compensations for their new powers/consequences. Scar has his landscape tattoos that allows him to terraform, although no WorldEdit, and Cub's Vex power was changed from Withering (the deadliest effect) whatever it was used on to something not as severe (normally instant damage)

-Grian struggled to figure out what his power was for a loooonggg time and was sort of convinced that he didn't have any power, until one day he falls off the top of his base and suddenly wings sprouted from his back and he can flyyyyyy
-at this point they realize that this is something to do with the current server, not anything to do with the past seasons

-Cub and Scar kidnap Grian and take him to the golf course they've been working on out of the way of the other hermits and search him for a Vex tattoo. They think that Grian may have gotten his powers from the Vex and are genuinely worried and they don't want what happened to them to happen to him as well
-they're relieved when they find Grian's normal tattoos but then the ConVex have to explain what happened to them

-Grian goes back and urges the other hermits to try and help Cub and Scar with their problem
-not everyone convinced, some feel truly betrayed by Cub and Scar?
-they're also scared of the powers that Cub and Scar now have, as they've seen the destruction that those Vex powers caused to Scar himself and things Cub touches.
-someone encounters EX and finds out about his role in creating the Vex and it's current power and the ConVex's predicament and fully convinces the rest of the server to help Cub and Scar get rid of their curse and get Xisuma's normal powers back from EX before he can cause any more grief

-(idea from @idontlikepinapples) One of Grian's tattoos blurs out one day and a while later that wing tattoo is now an EVO Watcher symbol. Grian is scared because as far as he knows he did literally NOTHING to cause this except come from the EVO server, but suddenly he could he shunned by the other hermits for having different powers than original.
-at some point Grian goes into his spectator mode and places down a random block of bedrock in the shopping district or something and watches everyone from spectator be very confused about the piece of bedrock
