Grian sprinter as fast as he could away from his peruser.

"P-Poultry Man! Poultry Man, wait! I just want to talk!" The British man puffed and he stumbled around obstacles that the masked menace had easily leapt over.

"I'm not going to talk to the others, I promise! Just between us!"

"He's determined and you're making yourself more suspicious!" Sally warned.

"I don't care," Grian said aloud to Sally, then under his breath to himself.

I don't care, I don't care, I don't care, he doesn't care, Mumbo doesn't matter, he thinks I'm dead too! He never looked, he never cared, it was all a big lie!

"Poultry Man!" Mumbo yelled again, this time with a more frenzied tone. Grian wished he hadn't run out of rockets, otherwise he would have long since flown away from this phantom of his past.

"No can do, Mumbo Jumbo!" Grian sang tauntingly and ducked into another random part of the G-Team base. Mumbo had caught him stealing fireworks from Tek To the Skies and has chased him here with elytra, but Grian hadn't been able to grab any rockets and had run out above the war grounds. Knowing that he likely knew the layout of the G-Team base better than either of them did Team S.T.A.R.'s, he had ran in here for cover.

Mumbo was still on his tail.

"Oh, come on! How hard is it to talk to a chicken man?" That was a question more for himself than for Poultry Man.

"C'mon, where's a hidden exit or something..." Grian muttered to Sally. He came to a passcode-locked door in the basement of the base and started frantically typing in vague recollections of numbers he thought could be correct.

"How should I know? I've never been here before."

"Your sass is not appreciated right now."

"Nor is yours," Mumbo replied, leaning on the wall on the other side of the passcode. Poultry Man jumped and shrieked, startled by the sudden close proximity of another person.

"Hey! Too close!"

Mumbo glanced down at the space between where he and Poultry Man had stood.

"There's literally like a meter between us?"

"Too. Close. Stay away from me," Grian said, his voice starting to shake. He could feel the panic building in his stomach, although he was trying his best not to show it to the hermit.

Too close, too close. No, I can't freak out. I can't. I can't I can't I can't! Can't, he won't understand. He doesn't care.

Mumbo had a very strange look on his face. The rogue would have expected him to be confused, pitying, even hostile, but instead there was a mixed look of... emotions Grian couldn't describe. Either that, or he didn't want to, because it went against what he had convinced himself of in order to avoid more pain.

"Hey, it's alright. Sorry for freaking you out," the mustached man apologized. He took a step forward toward Poultry Man, his hand extended, to which the masked man recoiled, holding his right hand to his chest and holding Sally close to him and away from Mumbo in his left.

"Please leave me alone," Poultry Man whispered. He hated being near Mumbo- too many fake memories resurfaced. He had already lost his edge and didn't want to go any further than he already had. "I- I won't bother you anymore, just, just please, please, leave!"
