You wake up screaming and sobbing. Your door flies open as your brother bolts into the room and too your side.
"(Y/N), (Y/N), it's okay. It's me. Kiri, your brother." He tells you. You hold onto him, terrified to let go. He whispers soothing things into your ear, and rocks you back and forth. Then without hesitation he picks you up and carries you to his room.
He lays you in his bed and climbs in. He makes sure there's a pillow between the two of you, to keep things appropriate, and covers you with a blanket. Then he reaches his hand over so you can hold it.
You grasp it, and try to calm down. You were safe. Kiri would protect you.
