Hyunwoo

~an hour after  the briefing~

Kihyun has been going through the rest of the files on the Diamond Backs from the Narcotics and Gang unit for the past hour. His glasses looks like it was about to fall off due its position near the tip of his nose. The results from the lab have yet to arrive. The officers from the other unit were busy talking to my unit or went off to do who knows what.

I sat down next to him and took the file from his hands. He stares at the empty space before him before looking over at me with a questioning look.

"Let me help," I said. He nods and takes another file out of the many boxes near him.

???

"Baby," I called out.

"Yes, Mama," he replies as he brushes his bangs back.

"Did you do what I asked?"

"Yes, Mama."

"You didn't leave any evidence leading to us, right?"

"Of course, Mama."

"Good boy," I purred and smiled warmly at him.

~an hour later~

Someone jabs me in my side with something. I looked up to see Dr. Choi standing there.

"The results are back," he says before leaving when I took the file from him.  I open the file and read its contents. It lists the  cause of death, the victim's info, and more. Toward the end, it said that the inside of the victim's fingernails were thoroughly cleaned, and there isn't anything  promising that would lead us to who killed the victim. I clicked my tongue out of annoyance and tossed the file onto the coffee table in front of me.

Kihyun puts aside the file he was looking at and picked up the file I tossed. He goes through it and instantly has a look of being irritated. He sighs deeply and sets the file onto the table before going back to the other file.

"Maybe, we missed something at the crime scene. Let's go back there now," I suggested.
