Ch. 58: Untitled

 I quickly put the broken needle into an empty evidence bag before putting into the small dufflebag that we had brought along. This could be crucial evidence in our case. Kihyun lets out a loud sigh when he didn't find anything. "Is there another place that we should look at," I asked.

"Hmm, maybe, the tellers' booths or something," he answers as he stretched. Then, we went over there and looked around. Nothing was found that was helpful. Then, again, how were we supposed to find a lot of evidence when the case happened some time ago and the polices then did a sweep too. Plus, there has been numerous people inside the bank and it has been cleaned since then. 

"Let's head back and bring what we found to the lab," I said.

"Alright, but we should go tell the general manager that we are done and are leaving now," Kihyun replies.

"Okay," I said before we went back to the general manager's office. Kihyun knocks on the door. A few seconds later, the general manager tells us to just come in.

"How was the search, boys," the general manager asks while leaning back in his black leather seat with his fingers interlocked.

"I'm sorry but we aren't allowed to share the details. I hope that you can understand," I said.

He nods slowly and then asks, "You two are leaving now?"

"Yes, sir. We have finished our search. If there isn't anything else, we will be taking our leave. We will keep in touch when necessary," Kihyun says as he readjusts his tie.

"Alright then. Goodbye, boys," he says. We said something among the same line and left for the precinct.

~at the lab at the precinct~

"Jinyoung, can you take a look at these," I asked when we entered the lab. The brunette turns around from his desk and looks at us. 

"Is this for a case," he asks as he takes the evidence that we gathered today.

"Yeah...where's Jaebum?"

"Oh, he is out with the boys since today is his day off," he says as he examines the evidence.

"Wait, what is that," Kihyun asks while pointing at the broken needle.

"A broken needle? Didn't you guys collect this together? How come you don't know," Jinyoung snorts before setting them down on his desk. 

"Oh, I forgot to show Kihyun it after I discovered it," I said after looking at the red haired prosecutor. Kihyun looks at me with a questioning look on his face. I chuckled nervously  for some reason and quickly looked back to Jinyoung.

"Hmm~, the tests will take some time. I'll let you two know when I am done," Jinyoung says as he crosses his legs one over the other. 

"Thank you," we said before exiting. He nods before turning around to continue what he was doing earlier.

~at his department~

"How did it go with the other suspects," I asked the maknaes.

"Nada. Absolute nada and bull," Changkyun says with an annoyed look on his face.

"It couldn't have been that bad, right," Kihyun asks.

"I wish. All of them had beef with the guy but all of them checked out," Jooheon groans and drags a hand through his hair.
