Ch. 89: To Find a Murder (Part 4)

A/N: AgustD 2 and the MV for Daechitwa dropped today!!! Jin and Junkook fighting in the background was a nice touch. The sword dancing is nice af. And, of course, the song was straight fire.

~after the ambulance and crime scene investigations team arrives~

Kihyun and I stepped outside of the house to let the EMTs and the CSI team go in and do their jobs. Kihyun lets out a loud sigh. "We should have came over earlier," he says as he drags a hand through his fiery red hair. 

"Kihyun, we couldn't have possibly known that he was going to get murdered," I said as I stood to his left. 

"Yes but still," he replies as he kicked a pebble that just so happened to be there.

"Let's go track down Minho."

"...right! Let's go," he says quickly and ran to my car. 

"Wait up," I shouted as I ran after him and unlocked the car from afar. 

~at Minho's residence~

Kihyun knocks rapidly and loudly on the door. But, no one answers. He knocks again. There is a response this time but it was the next door neighbor. "Hey! People are trying to sleep here," a woman in a bathrobe shouts from the apartment to the right of Minho's.

"Sorry for the disturbance, Ma'm. We're police....Do you know where your neighbor went," I said and then gestured to his door.

"He didn't come home," she replies.

"How do you know," Kihyun asks.

"The walls aren't exactly thick here," she answers.

"Ah, I see. Did anything suspicious happen here or was he acting suspicious lately," Kihyun asks.

"Hmm, he was arguing with someone named Jin the other day but I can't remember what. Oh, and a few days ago, he ignored me when I said hi to him when I saw him outside at night while throwing out the trash," she says after thinking for a few minutes.

"Would you know where he might be," I asked.

"Do I look like his keeper? I don't know. I barely even know the guy," she snorts. 

"Oh, well...thank you for your help," Kihyun says with that business smile of his.

"Anything to help the police...I guess. If you don't mind, I'm going back to sleep. I have work early in the morning," she says before going back inside without waiting for a response.

"Should we go ask for the master key," I asked.

"No, we got to get a warrant first. Anyways, we need to call this in," he replies.
